I went from a midwife, to a regular OB, to now seeing the regular OB as well as a high risk OB.
The reg OB and the high risk guy sometimes give me conflicting information, so I go by what the high risk guy says. The high risk guy said I need to keep seeing the regular guy in addition to him because the regular guy is more likely to be the actual person who delivers my son.
Is this how it usually goes or is this a weird situation?
Re: Anyone else have two OBs?
This is exactly my case. My reg OB will deliver but I see both. They work very well together. Occasionally, I get conflicting advice, but we talk it out.
I am kind of nervous because it's well known that my doc's practice does not get along/agree with a lot of what the MFM practice says/does so there is some conflict. If I don't like them, there is another mfm practice at another hospital. But both the MFM and my doc's office are at the hospital campus so it's easier to see both there.
