Baby girl waited for her Nana to arrive from Florida, gave mama about 1-2 hours of sleep before contractions kicked in mega time. At 2:30am I called for my Doula to come help and at 6:30am we were headed to the birth center. Things tapered off after a couple hours there, then started back up again around lunch time.
Holy hell...pushing a child out of your vadge is insanely intense. I mean duh...I knew this but nothing prepared me for that pain.
They broke my bag and my bloody show didn't happen until later in labor. Didn't expect both those to happen so late. Anyway, labored on land, in the shower, & the tub for about 7/8 hours and she was born in the tub at 8:52pm. I'm blessed my labor wasn't that long but honest to God it felt like it would never end. I wanted to give up and go to the hospital so many times! Once they broke my bag it was really intense. None the less, proud of myself and just so glad she is here.
She's feeding like a champ but won't sleep unless held...making for a tired mommy but very much in love. We are both healthy as can be and I'm recovering well.
Emmalynn Grace, 7.1lbs, 20in, 8:52pm, Feb 2nd.
Thanks everyone for the support thus far and lots of good luck to those still waiting. Look forward to posting again when we get in a good rhythm
