Update on the original post!
DH has been home for about a half hour &
she is breathing just fine...no strange noises. I'm gonna lean towards reversed sneezing for now & keep an eye on her for the next couple of days. Thank you all for your kind words & support
And here's 1 more picture (as a thank you for all the responses!) of the little girl, in her bed with her "baby"

Calling all animal lovers & fur mommies!
Our Pug, Sadie, woke us up last night making the weirdest noise.....she sounds like she's got something stuck, like, not in her throat, but her nose? She's doing this really, really loud inhale that sounds almost like she's got a fur-ball stuck somewhere and it won't come out!
I wouldn't be concerned if it was just that one time - this shit went on ALL NIGHT LONG. She was still doing it this morning! With the exception of this damn noise coming out of her, her breathing is just fine, but every few minutes (or every few breaths maybe), she will suck in a HUUUGGGE inhalation of air and sound like there's something lodged somewhere.
I'm at work now & I'm sure she's asleep in her bed (cause that's what Pugs do all day!), but I'm worried that she might have something else going on

Any thoughts?? Anyone else have experience with flat faced dogs & breathing problems?!
To thank you for reading, I present to you, Sadie! Here she is snoozin' on the couch in all her cuteness glory:
Re: **UPDATE** NBR: Fur Baby Concern
Could she have a cold? Or could she have been exposed to kennel cough? I saw a poster at our vet's office that said they can pick it up at dog parks, etc. Maybe it's something breed-related, like French Bulldogs?
I know almost nothing about dogs, but our big kitty boy (23lbs) snores most of the time while he's sleeping. And sometimes I think he makes a noise that sounds similar to what I'm interpreting your pup makes. He's never brought a hairball up, but he'll cough-wheeze-hack thing a few times in a day, maybe for a few days, and then we'll go weeks without anything.
I'm sorry I'm not more helpful, but I know how it sucks to not know what's going on with the furballs.

ETA: sorry was posting this ages ago and the phone rang. got back and realized i never submitted it. lol
My mini dachshund does this, too. My friend showed me the cover-the-nose trick and that usually stops him. The sound may be exaggerated because your pooch is a pug... I'd still take her to the vet just to rule out any deeper problems (like if she found a small piece of plastic and got it lodged in her sinuses or something). Not to scare you of course, but pets can get into all sorts of trouble!
