I didn't but am kind of paranoid about it now, even though I have no reason to be. I am just curious to see how many people this has happened to. If you did get pregnant on the pill did you take them religiously?
I was on ortho tri cyclen lo and had been for 4 years. I took it religiously. The last time that I had missed a pill was over 6 pill cycles before I got pg. My period had been really strange for 3 months and I kept calling my OB GYN and asking her why that could be and if I could be pg. I felt like the ortho tri cyclen lo must not have been working. She kept telling me no and to keep taking this pill. I wanted to switch but she said she didn't reccomend it because I had been on this pill for 4 years so it was obviously working well for me. She said that the irregular periods could be because I had been sick or stressed out. Finally after being nauseous for 4 weeks straight and my OB GYN not giving me the time of day, I found a differant dr. and found out that I was 8 weeks pg. I was upset that I had been jerked around by my previous dr. and had been taking my pills for 8 weeks while I was pg. I also had surgery during this time. Luckily I had a big healthy 9 pound boy, so none of that affected him negatively.
I am petrified of birth control now and really do not trust it.I tell all of my friends to use a back up method!
I did, on Ortho Tri Cyclen Lo. I took the pill for 10 years successfully before I got pregnant. I probably missed 2 pills (and took 2 the next day) the month I got pregnant-which was pretty typical! I got Mirena put in after having DS, this time i'm not messing around!

I got pregnant on Desogen. It was partly my fault I think. I took my pill at 5pm like usual, and then we went drinking. I ended up getting really sick [a combination of the alcohol but also from a cold I had] and throwing up all night. Next thing I know I'm pregnant. I assumed that the pill hadn't been fully ingested, so I read the directions on the pack. Said no backup protection needed if only one pill was missed. so I didn't use backup.
Sadly though, we lost that baby.
I'm on Loestrin right now and I totally don't trust it. Unfortunately it was the best BC option for me right now.
Re: How many people got pregnant on the pill?
We did a few years ago, and lost the baby. It was my fault for not taking them properly.
I got pg on the pill.
