Where is this magical time DH thinks I have???

DH comes home and asks if I had addressed some thank you notes and put LO's clothes away.
Really DH? I had to eat standing up for both meals today.
Anyone else's DH think that we just sit around with a sleepy baby all day that will let us put them down whenever we want?

  • It's sad but I am looking forward to the day when I can help. Everytime I set dd in the PNP during her long nap she wakes right up. Debating trying the crib but worried she'll think that it's night time as that's the only time she's in her crib.

  • Glad I'm not the only one eating the majority of meals standing up,

  • Ugh that would suck.  Every now and then H makes a random comment, but overall he is pushing me to take it easy. It drives me nuts having a house that isn't super kept so I'm having to learn to let some things slide.
  • S/O has been great helping out and taking DD when he comes home from work. On the other hand, I wish DD would understand that this mommy has needs too!!

  • It's been a week and thankfully my SO hasn't said anything yet, but he's been home and watching what my day is like. He'll take over for me so that I can shower and eat, but DS seems to want to be with me at all times. I'm thinking about getting a sling.

  • DH has been more understanding this go around about chores. This time he stayed home for a week and I made him do all the chores he could, and despite his best efforts, the house wasn't as clean as I kept it. That week did so much for him respecting/understanding what I do.

Understanding that I sleep less than he does is another story...

After 3 kids, DH knows better ;) I'm fact, DH just told me to sit down and relax. He knows DS2 has been cluster feeding all day.
LOL, this exactly. Best way to cure that is to have DH care for the baby for a 3 hr stretch. See what he gets done. Make sure its after LO has slept for a long nap so that baby is awake and hungry the whole time!

Hahaha that's pure evil! I left DH alone with baby girl all fed and he sent me an SOS text approximately 10 minutes after I left because she started crying... By the time I saw it and called back, she had calmed down- but when I got home he handed her straight to me because he had to do his homework and "couldn't get anything done." He has since stopped asking me 'What I've done today,' upon arriving home from work or school.

This. I feel like we have the same baby. I can't put my DS down or he crys. he won't sleep in the PNP and as soon as I put him in there once he falls asleep, he wakes up and cries. He also screams about 3 hours a night and I get no.sleep. ever. I wish I could help around the house too, but I'm so excused and don't even have time to eat or shower.

Lol, I swear he's normally good but has his moments. Mainly, he hasn't spent the whole day with us since the first week cause he gets stir crazy so he'll do all the errands and when he does he leaves and Dd is sleeping and comes home and she's sleeping. So I'm sure he pictures me just snuggling with a baby and catching up on people's court all day.
I'll AW him for a second just so ppl don't think he's a huge jerk: he makes dinner 5 nights a week, he picks me up sour patch kids anytime he's out without me asking, and he tells me how beautiful I am daily.
He just doesn't think things through a lot if times :) (me doing chores, thinking I want to hang out with my in laws every other day...)
