Anyone planning a baby moon or a nice date night before baby? I have been thinking about things to do. I just made a reservation for Valentines day at a nice restarant on the beach. I would love to hear everyones plans
We were lucky to do both! We went to Florida in November for our baby moon. We had our last date last Friday at Benihana. We went there since that was where we went on our first date. It seemed appropriate as our last before beginning life with baby.
We had our last night out a couple of weeks ago because that's when we could get a sitter for DS, and I knew the longer we waited, the less I'd feel like going out. Nice dinner, window shopping, and cheesecake for dessert
I went to a friend's wedding with DH in Hawaii back in the Fall - we decided to stay a little longer and make it our babymoon, since we were going anyways! It was a little crummy travelling while pregnant, but I'm glad I went at 20-whatever weeks rather than trying to do a big trip any later than that. Hello waddle!
We've done a few nice dinners out recently, mostly spurred by my OB's advice - go to non-baby-friendly restaurants NOW while you still can! Ha!
We're hoping for LO to be here before Valentines Day, so we aren't really planning anything special for that. But I am making DH take me out to a nice restaurant tonight. It will probably be our last actual date for a little while.
We had a baby moon in October. No way would I travel -- or enjoy a trip -- at this point. We have some plans for this weekend -- dinner, movie, special event at the Botanical Gardens. We're hoping for a couple more weekends just the two of us.
DH and I tried to have a date day/night a couple of weeks ago. We dropped off DS then went home before our movie was supposed to start. We ended up taking a 2+ hour nap and missed the movie. The next showing would have ended too late for us, we're old like that I don't even remember if we went out to dinner now. We planned to go to a movie the next morning before picking up DS but all of the show times were different than the day before and didn't work for us. We ended up having Chili's for lunch then picked up DS. It definitely wasn't what we planned but it was still nice in a way.
We haven't even considered doing anything for Valentine’s Day with my due date approaching, maybe we should.
We did a babymoon to disney in October. It was fun, but it was A LOT of walking. I waddled around all 4 parks. Dh couldn't understand why I was so grumpy and tired. Anyway, if you do do something, I strongly recommend a more relaxing endeavor than disney world.
We went to Mexico in October. We keep saying "this might be our last night out" every time we go to a movie. We're going to a friends housewarming /Olympic opening ceremony party on Friday, and I feel like that's our last party for the next little while. Not knowing when baby will come makes it a little harder to plan one last night out.
My baby came early so we didn't have a last hurrah but we took the baby ouut to dinner this past Saturday. He slept soundly in his car seat and I was able to enjoy a glass of wine so I personally prefer after baby dinners out haha
