I just spent, like, an hour on the wrong board.

I must've been so happy to see new materials/posts that I didn't put 2 and 2 together about not recognizing anyone. I'm pretty sure I replied to more than a few posts, too.

Mind you, this is the second time I have done that in as many weeks.

Anyone else care to share their most recent brain fart?

I enter sales order into our computer system at work. I went into an order that so far as I remember, I haven't touched since December. It should have no money on this order, as it's for demo equipment. There was a line in there for the sale of a machine for $130k...that I have NO memory of entering. That equipment was sold last quarter, and I checked that order and it was correct, same money and everything. I have NO IDEA when I would have entered that line, why I would have put it on that order (the order numbers are not alike at all), and why no one caught it. To the point where I'm 90% sure that it wasn't me, but I'm literally the only person who goes in and enters/adjusts orders. Sooooo frustrating! At the very least, it was an easy fix once I noticed it...oy!

The other day I was working on sub plans. I went into the classroom next to mine to get them. They weren't there when I got there so the teacher whose room the printer was in came over to see if the printer was broken. Nope. I just never pushed print.

Hubs asked if I put the trash can out. I him no because they were already out and I thought he did it. When I back put of the garage I'm literally within 18 inches of the damn things that are almost as big as me. I should've noticed them if they were still there. I didn't notice them. Hubs gets home that afternoon, containers I saw were the neighbor's across the street. Did I mention I also forgot to feed the dogs that morning too... Oops $:\$ ">

I do this ALL THE TIME!! So frustrating. Luckily the printer area is right next to my desk...

Yea, I do that quite often, too. Fortunately the printer is in the office which is only 2 doors down from my room, but even still it's annoying!

DH asked me a few nights ago as we were getting into bed, what we ate for supper. I told him that the kids has sandwiches, chips, and sweet gherkins and I had........ Nothing. I'm easily distracted and I forgot to eat that night. I was fine then, but by morning I could have eaten my own arm.

Last week when I walked into work, I was talking on my phone to a friend. I put my purse on the table, and started digging around for my ID and phone. Couldn't find my phone, and started to feel panic. Finally realized I was holding my phone against my ear. My coworker laughed at my pregnancy brain, and I thought it was pretty funny too.

My entire family including my 9 month old niece was visiting me this weekend. I work for an airline so I "list" them as standby passengers instead of buying them tickets. I decided the night before their 6am flight back home to list them on a different type of pass that would help them get on the first flight and told them to throw out their boarding passes and just check in at the airport. Totally forgot. Just went to bed and sent them on their way. Thankfully I never cancelled their original listings so they were still able to get on. I didn't remember until I saw the crumpled up boarding passes in the trash the next day. Whoops.

So I was on the 2nd trimester board reading the "insensitive comments" thread and one of the posters commented that the OP had posted in the TTGP board an insensitive and spammy post. So naturally I clicked the link to read it... After reading for a few pages my stupid phone froze. I pressed the back button a bajillion times (yup, that's a real number) and then finally closed the browser and reopened it. I get a notification that someone mentioned me in the thread... I had accidentally flagged a post when I was trying to exit. *facepalm* totally blew it while trying to lurk. *hanging my head in shame*

I sent an email to our managing partner earlier...his name is Adam, which is DH's name. DH's brother is Aaron, and I had just been talking to someone about Aaron, so when I sent the email I said "thanks Aaron"...hugggggge facepalm.

Too many

Recently, I have been known to send emails out that are halfway completed. For example:

Dear John,

Thank you for being such a nice guy and doing your freaking job today. I know it must have been hard for you to do, so I'm willing to offer you some Tyenol if you'd like as I'm guessing all that hard work gave you a monster headache. By the way, I have something very important to tell you and it involves

(that's it)

I only notice this of course when they forward back the email to me.

I put my underwear on inside out all the time.

I like to sleep with an eye mask on at night and I have left the house with it still on top of my head on more than one occasion.

I also now have picked up random things and then realize I have them in my hand several minutes later. Which makes me stare at the item in my hand and wonder why the hell Im holding it.

Brain farts happen to me all the time now. I have major baby brain. Last month I got lost driving to DH work while dropping off his lunch. I ended up on the opposit side of town. I still dont understand how i did that. The joys of pregnancy.

So many baby brain moments, mostly can't think of words. The funniest one was probably this morning, one of the nurses I work with walked into the nurses station and asked why the curtain and door were closed to room 16. I tried to reply, "Because Shannon's pumping", but couldn't think of either Shannon's name or the word pumping, so I just reached up and started squeezing my boobs!! The best part was the other girl said, "Oh, Shannon's pumping!" She totally got it from my awesome charades skills

Inside out underwear is way more comfortable than wearing it right side out...not that I've done this enough times to reach this conclusion or anything...

I swear my new classes for this semester MUST think I'm an idiot and totally not qualified to teach them because I'm constantly forgetting my train of thought, forgetting words, forgetting what I'm searching in my bag for, and forgetting what they just said. It's frustrating because I really AM qualified to teach them but I seriously feel slow all the time. Not to mention I'm huffing and puffing for the first five minutes of class because of the walk from my office to the classroom. Can't wait to see what I'm like by the end of the semester...

This is me on a daily basis especially at work! My coworkers have gotten used to me talking and stopping mid conversation with a blank state on my face because I have no idea what I was saying!!!

I've also imagined a conversation with a coworker that she said she had to use the bathroom so I walked up to her and took the dryer out of her hands to dry her dog (we're groomers) so she could go. She stared at me in utter confusion and I told her to go to the bathroom. She didn't have to go and we never had the conversation!!! They teased me for days about that one, but I swear we had that conversation!!

Like others I will randomly stop in the middle of a conversation as well as frequently say words "bass ackwrds" (ass backwards if you're not familiar with the term). This morning while in the shower my hubby walks in and screams (he does this to scare me/get a reaction). I wasn't scared for once but I stilled screamed, just to answer him? I do all kinds of crazy stupid stuff lately. As a Quality Analyst of technical data I'm somewhat concerned about my mental faculties and my ability to do my job well...not that I'm admitting that to anyone else!

On Super Bowl Sunday my mom made tortilla roll ups (cream cheese, sour cream, cheese, olives all wrapped up) and my sister made guacamole. Also had salsa. Sounds normal right?

I decided to make the "perfect bite" - piece of roll up, glob of fresh guacamole, poured on some salsa and shoved that bee-yotch in my mouth. Burst into tears. It tasted SO. DAMN. GOOD. My whole family thought I was losing my mind.

@emilyh107 I do the same thing at stop signs too. My kids sometimes snap me out of it. And a couple of times I have slowed down at intersections like there was a stop sign before I see the green light. And these are intersections I frequently go through! Sighs... Bump brain

Hee hee. I was digging around for all my stuff to get ready to leave for work the other morning and after finally locating my gloves, my phone, my keys, etc, I got really annoyed with myself that I somehow only had one glove in my hand...where was the other? ON my other hand. No one was around to laugh about it with me.
