Am just curious. I am extremely grateful for anyone who attends and brings a gift but am curious as to what others experiences were. I see only about 10 items gone from my BBB registry, 2 from PBK and 1 from Restoration Hardware. Again, grateful, I'm just a registry type of gift-giver as I'm a pickier person so curious.

Thanks!
Re: Baby Shower-How many of your gifts actually came from your registry?
About 50% of the gifts I received were from my registry . I was surprised because at my wedding shower, which was attended by the same group of people as my baby shower, everyone stuck to my registry. I'm going to be honest (and I will probably be flamed for this) but I received lots of useless clothing (tuxes for infants, scratchy polyester baby suits that no child would ever wear, and a snow suit that will only fit him in the dead of summer) and I was a tad disappointed. I got over it though and you're correct--- the only decent response is gratitude. Still, go into your shower expecting lots of clothing that you may never use and a few "wtf were they thinking?" gifts. At the end of the day, I am just glad that there are people who cared enough about me to attend and to purchase a gift at all.
EDIT: Also wanted to add that I had only two registries- BRU and Pottery Barn and only my sheet/bedding set was on Pottery Barn. I got all of the pottery barn registry (the sheet/bedding set) and half of BRU (which was everything else). I will say that family and close friends bought up most of the bigger gifts (car seat, swing, etc). We did not register for furniture (crib, etc.) --we purchased the nursery set.
With that being said, I am and would be grateful for any gifts received! People should not be expected to buy what you want for your LO. It just worked out for us, and like I said, I really think being team green helped that.
I think we got about 1/3 of what we had registered for at BRU. We had not revealed the sex yet, so as PP have said I think this does tend to lead people to stick more to the registry then if they know the sex.
My grandmother made LO a blanket, she does for all babies. I still have mine! I'm looking forward to wrapping him up in it
