I just wanted to say that you guys ROCK!!!! Man, if I think back to when I and some of the other nesties here gave birth last spring (goldenmama, kyluvsaj, blueladybug, mwilson, lots of others....), this board was littered with us b*tching and moaning about being so big those last few weeks.
I've barely heard a peep of negative stuff from you guys - you rock!!!
How's everyone feeling??????
Re: 36+ Weekers - CMW, Macchiatto, Skatcat, JustaKid, JChandler and others.....
Aww, you're sweet, thanks.
I did my whining to my OB today when I told him I needed a deadline so I don't go crazy.
I'm feeling OK; it really varies from day to day and hour to hour. I spend almost all my time sitting on our recliner-couches cos my legs go numb if I sit with my feet flat on the floor, and I have contractions and/or cramping most of the time when I stand or walk around. My sleep is all messed up, and I do indeed feel huge and ready to be done being pregnant. And frustrated cos DH is super swamped with stuff to do right now and I feel bad he has to take care of me, and I REALLY wish I could just do the housework and things like installing the carseats and setting up the crib myself. But other than that I'm great!
Aw you are so very kind to say that. Like Macchiato, you just weren't in the room when I saw my OB today! Last night I was almost in tears because I hate not being able to sleep. I just can't get comfortable in any position..lying down, sitting up, standing, etc. And you should see me trying to get out of a car...its comical. Yep, I'm pretty miserable and ready to be done!
I think I've just been REALLY REALLY lucky. I'm still running around doing a million things (this week's project was moving all of my clothes out of the babies' nursery which had basically been my own personal closet and into a new closet we built in our bedroom). I'm still wearing heels (can't help myself), doing errands, etc. And I have a 2YO. I think that helps actually. And so does having an end in sight - if the babies don't come on their own by Jan. 5th, that's our scheduled C-section. So all of a sudden it's like, oh, only 12 more nights of being pregnant -- max.
PS: All of my friends IRL who have twins are in a bit of awe. None of them even made it this far along, so a pat on the back to all of us for getting here!!!?
Congrats for making it so long, ladies!!! Yes, those last few weeks are so hard, but you're in the home stretch. Not too long before you all get to meet those babies.
Looks like January is going to be a big baby boom on this board!
