Help me prep my math class? (STM please)

I'm prepping a stats class, and I'd *love* to get some *real* data on pregnancy for my students to look at, but I'm having a hard time finding it online. Could all of you who have had children before please help me by telling me the following data for one of your previous pregnancies:
1. your weight gain
2. your baby's weight at birth.

40 pounds. She weighed 8lbs6oz and was born at 41w2d. I think CDK211 is right, there are a lot of factors and that's probably why there aren't many statistics.

Yes!! You're absolutely right on the variables, but that's OK. I want my students to understand the limits of the data, and the possible explanations for outliers. Please keep 'em coming, ladies, this is great! I'll post some charts once I get a good number of responses . . .

This is super! Please keep 'em coming. I've tried to attach the data we have so far, which will be GREAT for my class. (It's important for them to see REAL data, outliers and all. Plus, I think it's interesting that the correlation between weight gain and birth weight is relatively low . . . about .3 at this point).

Again, please keep posting if you haven't yet! I'll update the charts with the new data . . ..

I think I gained around 40 lbs. I honestly didn't keep track and my doctor never brought it up. DD was 8lbs 5.5oz at birth.

DD#2: +35 pounds, she was 8 lb 10 oz, born at 41 weeks 5 days (no induction)

Thanks to everyone who responded! I've attached the output graphs. In case you're curious, the correlation between WeightGain and BirthWeight was about .29, with a p-value of .05265. Meaning: the correlation between WeightGain and BirthWeight is very very slight, but it is not likely that the correlation is just due to "chance." Obviously, this was IN NO WAY scientific, but my students will learn a lot. And it's great to have real data; thanks again!
