When you visited your RE how many drinks did you tell them you consume per week?

"It's, not, where you are, it's where you're going,
And it's, not, about the things you've done, it's what you're doing, now"

Re: CPW: How much does your RE think you drink?

  • I told the truth to my RE. She kept thinking it was my husband's papers she was looking at and not mine. Oops.

  • God...I think they only asked me back when we first had our initial consult so I honestly don't remember what I told them.  I'm sure I said I only drink one or two times a week, and only three or four drinks per time (so 6-8 drinks a week) because that would be *honestly average* but of course some weeks I don't drink at all, some weeks I drink several times a week, more, less, etc that I'd say that's average and honest and I know that's what I tell my PCP.

I have done so many "admission assessments" I know the worrisome numbers and avoid that. Im aware of the rule of 3, where the math is 3x what you admit to.... so I usually adjust my answers for that. I said 1-3 2x/wk for the RE. And thats accurate now or more than I drink. ..

  • When I did the assessment, I drank more than I do now. I think I told the RE 5-6/week on average and now it's more like 3-4 on average. This of course, does not apply during AF when pretty much double that. B-)
