need prayers! first ultrasound :(

So today I had my first ultrasound and should be 7wks 2days but they couldn't find the heartbeat. I feel like it has been good all along and this was my first visit with the doctor and he is already telling me it isn't good and telling me that I'll probably miscarry this weekend. I heard that normally the heartbeat doesn't show up til 8wks so I'm really frustrated and worried. He is giving us one more week and then doing another internal exam... pray for us! This is our first and we are so excited but I don't want the doctor to be right. We need a miracle!

    Are you urge when you ovulated? Maybe your dates are off and you are not as far along as you think? When did you get a BFP?

    If they did a transvaginal ultrasound then the heartbeat should be able to be seen (not heard) by about 6w2d give or take a few days.  If they did a normal abdominal ultrasound then it isn't till 8 or 9 weeks that that kind of ultrasound will pick up the heartbeat. 

    If they did the transvaginal ultrasound, then being off by a little over two weeks is a long ways to be off as far as being off on your ovulation date.  My fingers are crossed that you get better news at your next ultrasound, but I would begin to prepare yourself for the worse.  I have been there and I know how you're feeling. Try to take care of yourself! *Hugs*

    T&P for you. If it makes you feel any better, my 7week u/s was measuring smaller than normal with no cardiac activity. I had an u/s the following week, and everything looked right on track with my original date. Try not to stress out too much, sometimes it's hard to see such a tiny baby in there! FX
