Clogged duct help?

I know some you have mentioned your LOs having clogged tear ducts. I'm pretty sure my LO has one -- for the last 2 days her left eye has been tearing and oozing some yellow mucus. It's also been crusted over a bit in the mornings. She doesn't seem bothered by it, but should I be calling the pedi or will it resolve on its own? I've put a little expressed BM on her eye and have been using warm washcloth compresses to clean it and it's seemed better, but still a little crusty/oozy. Anything else I can/should do, home remedy wise?

Pedi told me to take my pinky finger and massage the inside corner of his eye three times a day for about 15 seconds. Along with the BM in eye and warm washcloths his cleared up in a couple days. They told me I'd only need to come in if it doesn't get better in a few days so call if it doesn't.

It should be fine. If the whites of her eye get red or yellow then you need to call because it may be infected. Otherwise it will probably resolve itself in a few days.

eta: you are doing the right things, you can also massage downward along the inside of the eye/nose but that's probably not necessary.

Okay, thanks! Eye isn't red or irritated lookkng. Will keep an eye on it and if it's not better in a day or two I will call.
