Newbie Intro

Hi All! Just wanted to introduce myself before I jumped in a conversation. I'm a FTM, expecting a little girl on 6/14.

DS and I are quite excited since we lost a little one at 6wk3d last year.

Life is great so far, but I've learned that I have a fear of people wanting to touch me. It's weird, but I will learn to deal.

Hi and welcome!

Oh, and I am a strong believer in personal space. If you don't want people to touch you, don't feel like it is your lot in life as a pregnant woman that they must touch you if they want to.

A friend's sister asked to touch my bump at a Super Bowl party on Sunday - she did give a caveat of "If you'd rather not, that's okay." I hesitated and then said, yeah, I really prefer for people to not touch my bump.

And then I explained that my bump was mostly fat and organs, and that baby was just barely above my crotch. She was suddenly okay not touching me.

I think I am weird because I don't mind touching. Last time I think only like 3 people touched and I kinda wanted more because I felt I was missing out. I guess my stomach has always been my one feature I felt was sexy so if is going to be all distorted by pregnancy then at least people can marvel at the awesomeness of the life inside darn-it. LOL
