How early would you feel comfortable putting sunscreen on LO? Are there brands that are better for babies than others?

We live in central Florida and are taking LO to south Florida next weekend. We plan on going to the beach one day. LO has only been at the beach long enough for a couple pictures, so other than umbrellas, etc I'm not sure about sunscreen for a 10 week old.

For your time a picture of Sloane licking her beach towel a couple days ago! She wouldn't turn her head because of the sun!

Nothing on the sunscreen, but where in south Florida are you going? That's where I live. Though I'm pretty much as north as you can go and still be considered "south" Florida haha

6 months for sunscreen. Keep baby covered with a hat and light blanket and limit sun time. Have fun on your vacation!

We are going to the Lake Worth/West Palm area

Thanks everyone. I will def be calling the Pedi, I just didn't know if anyone else had any experience/ recommendations on sunscreen.

@BeachMommy2B I used to teach in Lake Worth! I lived in Wellington with the family I nannied for and then taught at the school they went to. I live about 45 mins north of WPB now.

Pedi told me no sunscreen until 6 months. And to really cover up... Hats, sleeves, etc because babies can get horrible sunburns in very short amounts of time.

Oh I'm not going to let her be out from under the tent/umbrella, but I was wondering about sunscreen as an extra precaution. Living in Florida the sun is so hot. Thanks all!
