This check-in is open to anyone that is part of the SAIF community and is currently TTC again, either on their own, or via injectibles, IUI, IVF, adoption, etc. Occasionally, I do a bit of clean up. If you have dropped off and would like to be added again, just comments and you'll be back in business

TTC again, even after successfully bringing home a LO (or multiple LOs) is a stressful process for all of us, and this group is meant to allow us the opportunity to provide support and suggestions to one another, and to receive the same in return.

QOTW: Snow day for me today! What is your favorite thing to do when you're stuck inside for the day? Do you spend the day in PJs?

TTC, without meds

ancp27 - 1/15 - We are TTC, kind of. We planned to go back to the RE this month but still no AF. I'll start charting for a few months once it's back. I'm not sure if we'll do any IUI'S r go straight to IVF. Hopefully we'll get lucky again.

Ducky719 – 1/29 - No update here: just temping away.

Mayzie15 - 1/29 - SA for MH is back and it's lower than before . I've made an appt with my RE for AFC it's this Weds and I'm really nervous to get back on this roller coaster but I figure it's now or never.

TTC, with treatments

BabyKsMommy - 1/29 - I'm just waiting to go in for my iui hopefully this week or next week. This Femara cycle has been easy which has been nice.

Bellalou - 1/29 - Fluid not gone. Surgery basically for nothing. U/S tmrw to check lining and appt w RE to discuss this fluid and if it'll interfere w my FET on Monday. Nurse and tech say no but I need to hear it for myself and ask RE some questions before moving fwd w it. Update...Cycle cancelled. New protocol to take place with onset on next period.

chiwifey - 1/29 - The hooker aka AF showed up last night making today CD1. I have an appt tomorrow for baseline b/w & u/s and a mock transfer. And I'll be starting stims tomorrow night too. I'm ready to get this IVF #3 party started! Mama wants another baby!

ccam - 1/29 - My transfer is tomorrow at noon. It sort of snuck up on us with everything going on with DS this week, but I guess that's a good thing! My progesterone was a little low, so they added Crinone to my list of meds.... lovely....

Efhoping2010 - 1/22 - FSH is now 8.9 and AMH is now 0.8 In 2012 my FSH was 3.2 and AMH was 0.98. Feeling a bit blah over it all. I am going to talk to DH about the results tonight.

fullfhope - 1/29 - As I feared, I did not respond to the meds so IVF has been converted to IUI tomorrow morning (Friday). As I sat there crying, the sweet nurse said she has seen success in these cases so I should stay hopeful. I know I have M at home, my own little slice of heaven, but it still sucks. I think I went into this with blinders on, thinking it worked the first time for M, so it is going to work again. Reality check for me. How foolish. So, now I'm just trying to stay hopeful..

mdiblasi10 - 1/29 - I'm 2dpiui. It's the waiting game now. I am really enjoying my acupuncture visits and trying to stay hopeful.

MoFree - 1/22 - I'm just waiting for AF to arrive some time in early Feb so I can start my natural cycle FET. Until then nothing to do but prepare myself mentally.

Pam MG - 1/22 - We did the transfer on the 10th and got a positive beta on Monday. Went back for the follow up beta and the number went down and they told me to stop taking the medication. I am at a complete loss and this feel is so much worse than when the fresh IVF just did not take. I became so attached even though it has only been 2 days and I think this is worse because I know what I am going to miss out on not to mention the coming up miscarriage. We only have one egg left and it is the lowest grade egg out of the 7 we got. If this doesn't work then Declan will be an only child and that kills me because I do not want that for him but I do not think I could go through that process again.

PennyLane26 - 1/29 - Polyp on saline sono was teeny tiny so we are proceeding as planned! Waiting on AF to start! Beginning meds for our FET on CD1 (which will hopefully be right around Valentine's Day).

readyornot24 - 1/29 - I am waiting for AF and the start my BCP for my next IVF. Hoping that will start Friday or Saturday

srveatch - 1/22 - H and I have been off birth control since A was born and month after month I am disappointed that we weren't one of those lucky couples who needed help the first time but had the happy surprise pregnancy for the second. So I am back in the game with a FET. I had my saline sonogram this morning and was cleared for cycle. I am on estrace and have a lining check on the third with a potential transfer scheduled for the 12th.

kzawisl - 1/8 - No update. Still saving our pennies and hoping for Menopur donations from OOP meds or my RE.

millie1984 - 1/15 - We are not actively trying yet, but MH and I have an appointment with our RE today to talk about IVF for TTC#2. We are going to go over things like cost and if our insurance will cover PGD, etc. We are also going to see if I am a candidate for IVF. So we're hoping to come out of the day with a game plan and more of a timeline for when we want to start officially TTC again.

Robeano - 12/27 - after some soul searching, I'm gonna take a break from trying until I get down to pre-pregnancy weight. I gained a bunch of weight in the last two months and I don't want to start off being pregnant this heavy.

BFPs! Let's Celebrate

CallMeAl - 1/29 - I am 36 wks today and feeling huge. Have an OB appt tomorrow so we will see what my cervix is up to.

Mcgeeva - 1/29 - Nada here. Have an apt next Tuesday. So excited with each week that passes. Around this time last time I was sent home for contractions and in labor the next week - 2 months early. So each week feels like im getting closer with no issues this time around. Couldn't be happier.

Imoverit – 1/22 - U/S on Mon for cervix check and baby measurement. Im so ready to be off work.

Mr.& Mrs. Woodtick - 12/27 - Our follow up ultrasound looked good. Baby is still a boy, and our AS is scheduled for Tuesday (12/31/13).

TJ1979 - 16 weeks today. Feeling better most of the time. My back is hurting REALLY badly, but other than that sometimes I forget I'm pregnant. Loving feeling deuce wiggling around in there!!

Cwhitaker27 - 12/27 - I'll be 11 weeks tomorrow. We told our families on Sunday at "our Thanksgiving". I just told the doctors I work with today since I was off mon/tues sick and throwing up all day. They were/are very supportive so that's great! We are telling the rest of our family and friends via our Christmas card next week. Overall still feeling very sick but happy to let the cat outta the bag mostly.

Eve_Angelique - 1/29 - Just waiting on my first appt with my midwife over here, nothing much to update

I just had to majorly cut down my post. It told me I was something like 23415 characters over the limit - that's never happened!! So if I cut you out and you want to be added back in, let me know. I pretty much took out people who haven't posted in the past month.

Update: I'm in the dreaded 2ww and its really dragging. Beta is on Saturday, 2/8.

QOTW: When we're stuck inside, I like to do some sort of craft project with DS. Today we are finishing his valentine's day cards for his aunties & grandparents. Oh and we spend the day in PJs - that is a must!

UPDATE: We had our anatomy scan and then moved halfway across the country that same day. We are FINALLY settling into our new home. I have had one appointment with a MFM that I really like here and baby boy seems to be doing fine. I did have an OB appt, but that OB sucked so now I'm searching for a new one.

QOTW: Since I'm a SAHM, most of our days are spent doing the same thing I would on a snow day! I usually spend the time cleaning the house, baking something yummy and playing with G. If Hubs is home we might watch a movie. Nothing too exciting!

Hoping that everyone cycling gets their BFP!! @ccam wow, it feels like time flew by. I can't believe your beta is Saturday! How are you feeling?!

Update: I'm 9dpo today and I didn't test. I changed my mind when I woke up this morning. I'll probably test tomorrow or Friday.

QOTW: It doesn't snow where we are, so we get outside pretty much every day. G would not be happy stuck inside. But when it's time to come in, we usually read and build things with his blocks.

No updates here. My period just ended last week so I'm paying more attention this cycle to see if I've got any signs of the big o.

QOTW: I'm jealous of your snow day! I need a mental health day badly! The very few times a year we are stuck inside I like to spend the entire day in my pjs watching movies and being lazy.

@mdiblasi10 I feel like up to the transfer flew by but these 9 days are freakin' dragging!!! I can't even concentrate at work because I'm so anxious about it. I'm trying not to read too much into how I feel but I've been having some random cramping, that's about it.

Good luck to everyone cycling!! And hugs to those out there who need them. 37 wks today with a nasty cold, which should just be against the rules. Miserable is an understatement. Last wk I was 60% effaced but not dilated. Getting checked again tomorrow, but I don't expect much change and know it doesn't mean diddly squat anyway

Qotw: I like to watch bad tv all day and drink cocoa.

I usually shower but put clean pjs on afterwards!

May I be added? I know I haven't posted much on this board in a long time. I am starting an IVF cycle soon for TTC #2. My last BCP will be next Monday. I will go in for baseline on day 2-3 of my period and will hopefully start stims that evening!! We will be doing a micro-dose lupron flare protocol (my first time with this protocol). Stim meds should be here on Friday!!

Good luck to everyone cycling! I am waiting on AF, so I can start taking BCP for my ivf....of course she was supposed to be here last Friday and still no sign, so really just in waiting mode. Qotw: when stuck inside I like to cook, catch up on tv, and hang out with dd. I can't wait til she is a bit bigger so we can do art projects and bake cookies together. I never stay in my pajamas all day but with this terrible winter I am loving that idea.

QOTD: when we are traped inside we stay in jammies build forts, bake cookies, nap and gorge on chocolate milk!

its my kids favorite time! That is when we cant get out side!

Good luck @ccam

Today was my appt with my RE - It was emotional going back. Other than going back for one visit to show our RE my son we haven't been back. It was strange like we are opening Pandora's box again. I wish I could skip ahead and be done with our cycle and be pregnant - guess that sounds strange but it's how I feel. My tests are lower this time - which happens with age - so my RE wants us to cycle sooner than later. We have no frozen embryos so we will be cycling from the beginning. I think we will be cycling in April - however my RE wants me to do Saline Sonogram first so I will be scheduling that soon. I'm nervous and scared that they will find something on the saline sonogram or this cycle won't work - but now we need to try.

Update- I had my lining check on Monday and everything looks good. My transfer is scheduled for the 12th. I am nervous about starting the progesterone injections on Friday. I used crinone exclusively with my IVF cycle.
QOTW- A and I play with her toys or read books. I feel like she's eating or sleeping most of the time

I think I'm one of the ones getting cut off the update list. No worries.

5.5 weeks and feeling pretty good, except for occasional nausea. Today is when the m/s really hit me hard when I was pregnant with DS, so hoping it's a good sign that I haven't felt that way yet. One more beta this coming Monday, then our first u/s the Monday after that, at 7 weeks.

QOTD: We obviously don't get snow in Nairobi. The last time we were "trapped" inside all day was during the Westgate terrorist attack. We were basically just glued to the news all weekend. We had friends over who lived in our same apartment compound, and kind of all banded together. I'm pretty sure PJs were involved...and wine.

I did my first IUI with femara on Tuesday. Im really hoping that this is it, I want off this roller coaster! I see about 5 different REs and my fav told me she is retiring. I am very sad, she did the IUI that ended up with DS and she is just SO sweet. She did my IUI on Tues so it would be awesome if this one worked out.

QOTW: We don't have snow days. But I partially SAH so we have a lot of chill days. We don't usually stay in pjs because I have a daycare so I don't want other parents to judge me.

Update: Had my first appt with my midwife last friday, it went well Had a dating u/s last night, I was happy to get to see baby again. Measuring right were I thought we were. Baby's HB was about 167, and it was doing lots of wiggling!

QOTW: Definitely pajamas/sweat pants day! We've had lots of days like that lately, so gotta stay in and be cozy. Watch some movies and have good snuggle time.

New update I guess. I started spotting yesterday and still am today. My period ended January 20, so not quite three weeks ago. I have never spotted, ever. I've also never had a period two months in a row, much less this close together. Before DS, I would go months (longest being 10 months) between periods, but since getting my first pp period at 13 weeks pp, it's been roughly every two months. Who knows what this is and if it's even worth mentioning.

Hi ladies! Sending out some good vibes for ya!
Checking in: I had my first OB appt yesterday. By the time I got there I was in tears and almost threw up in the parking lot. I had stressed myself out so badly and convinced myself that it was just going to be a replay of September when they told me I had a missed miscarriage. Well... I got different news this time. The Doppler quickly picked up a heartbeat at 172 and the little one even moved away from the Doppler! Stubborn already! So I am 10 weeks and had my harmony test blood work done. I think once that's back I'll be able to relax a little.
QOTD: totally stay in pjs and neglect personal hygiene. Lol. Snow days don't happen for me ever unless it's my day off (I'm an essential hospital employee) so when the stats align it's pjs and movies with my boy!

Hello - may I join? We are not TTC right now but we met with our RE and was advised to do some egg harvesting while I wait for the one year mark when I can do a FET. My OB wants up to wait one year before TTGP. DH needs to update his SA and that is giving me major anxiety. My fear is what if it comes back with zero sperm found as it did initially? Then there is the anxiety of my eggs! Ugh - cycling brings back suck bad feelings. This will be my 5th fresh cycle and 6th overall. What am I thinking? Lol

QOTW - total pj's all day! Naps and tv watching!

QOTW Since I SAHM right now, every day could be pajama day, and I will admit that some days I get dressed just before DH comes home so that I don't look as lazy as I actually was. I will say that for a true snow day, staying in pajamas is a must
