So I'm an idiot

Ugh! I was talking to a mom this morning at drop off at school. Our kids were in the same class last year, the teacher was Mrs D. So I'm talking to this mom and she says "Mrs D is pregnant." I was like "OMG, I just saw her the other day and wondered! I thought I saw a little pooch." and patted my tummy. The mom looked at me like I was crazy and went on to say "So she's been dropping her DD off and going straight home." She said the DD's name and I realized she said MISTY, not Mrs D. Misty is a mom of a kid in the other 4s preschool class. And Misty is EXTREMELY overweight. So I looked like the biggest bitch, saying I saw a pooch on her. Gah!! I wanted to explain I heard her wrong but I thought that would make me look worse! I can't believe that happened!!

    I would go ahead and explain next time you see her...and don't let it get around to Mrs. D. that you thought SHE had a pooch unless she really is pregnant!
