Anyone ever built a resume infographic?

I leave for corporate hazing training next week. As part of the pre-work I have to submit a resume infographic. Basically, my resume in pictures. I am having a hard time because I just don't understand the benefit. I think if i knew why I had to submit one, it would be easier to build.

  • Great for creative types trying to get an agency job...otherwise I don't find them appropriate. Sorry, I'm no help! Maybe just try to look at it as fun...like adult coloring?

  • Ugh. Unless you're in a graphic design field, I think they're stupid.  I guess it's one thing if it's just an exercise for a godawfultime team building exercise.

What do you do for a job? Can you do more of a facts thing?
I am a Consultant in fed finance. So not creative, unless it comes to numbers - i kid!

The facts angle is actually pretty useful. Our resumes include a lot of benefits to our clients, so that may be the graphic part.

  • ... is this cheating?

Yes. The rules say not to use that site specifically. That said, I might do it there for the ideas and recreate in powerpoint. That is using resources not cheating.

  • I also side eye the HR rep who thought a good first step was for everyone to brush up their resumes...

Our company requires up to date resumes every 6 months. In the federal space an infographic would NEVER fly. This whole exercise is dumb.
