Last Night's Bachelor (spoilers)

Anybody else watch last night? I don't know if it's just me, but the more I watch JP, the more I don't like him. I feel like he is being such a hypocrite with all this I have to set a good example for my daughter stuff. I think he's using that as an excuse to not have to make out with the girls he doesn't like. Also, I find it really irritating that the first thing he says about any given girl has to do with her looks. "Oh Andi, she's really sexy....Renee, she's so cute." It just seems like he is not taking the time to actually get to know most of them.

I love Renee, think she is the perfect match for him, which probably means he won't pick her. Nikki was annoying last week, but she was a little better this week. I really liked her in the beginning so I hope last week was some sort of fluke. Sharleen is getting less obnoxious as time goes on. Andi was a little whiny this week, which was a bummer because I really liked her in the beginning. The whole thing with Clare was just weird. Total flashback to Ben and Courtney, and we all know how that turned out.

I feel like maybe they had underwater salty ocean sex...that's how they made it seem. And I agree with PP about her getting so emotional if nothing happened other than making out in the water. Then again, it's TV, and maybe she's an actress or something.

They definitely had sex. He wouldn't act like that if they didn't because he has made out with other girls no problem. I think Juan Pablo is super attractive but I don't like him and certainly wouldn't date him. I agree that him and Renee would be perfect! I love her! I don't like Andi and I never did - she just seems kinda blah. Top girls are Renee and Nikki - it better be one of them at the end! I wish Clare wasn't so annoying because I think she is gorgeous!

I agree, they had to have had sex. If not, she is waaaayyy too much drama because she had no reason to freak out about that. I wonder what will happen on the overnights. Some of the other single parents (like Emily) have just said no to them all, I wonder if he will do that too. If not, then he will really seem like a hypocrite!

Completely agree with this! Also, I really liked Nikki in the beginning, really disliked her last week, and am now back to kinda rooting for her. I think Renee is the best match though, she's so level headed and caring.

I also think they had sex. Why would she be so upset if they just swam and kissed?? And her whole toast to making love seemed like she was just flaunting it.

I like Renee the best. They would be the cutest couple with the perfect little family. But unfortunately, I don't think he will pick her.

I'm going to agree with everyone who said they had sex... Because what would he regret so badly otherwise. The two of them have already had several steamy make outs in the pool. It had to have gone a lot further for him to feel regret, make a big deal out of and then for her to be so upset. I feel like he was being a totally jerk about it though. He took literally zero convincing to go out into the ocean with her - I'm not sure he could have moved faster to change into his bathing suit! But then he wasn't really taking a lot of responsibility when he regretted it and was making her feel really crappy about it. History shows that girls that are that forward don't make it to the end though - she ought to know that! Hot mess.
I've decided I'm not a huge fan of JP. I think he pretends to be way more of a gentleman than he actually is....

I agree with everything you said. Renee is one of my favorites. Andi was an early favorite but I'm liking her less and less each week. I like Clare in the beginning too and now I can't stand her.

As for Juan Pablo... I was super excited to see him as the bachelor but I am growing to hate him now. He can't possibly be that shallow?

A little off topic, but I have a coworker who was on Survivor for two seasons. The first season she portrayed as this bitchy, snotty, woman which is NOT Laura at all. She is one of the sweetest most caring people I've ever met and she received a lot of hate during her season. The second season she was on the show she spent most of her time on Redemption Island and no screen time but wasn't shown as a bitch at all. It's amazing what editing can do. I'm hoping that's the case with JP.

Anyway, I have never missed a season of the bachelor and I'm really disappointed this season.

So yeah, I was annoyed with some of the girls last week and before that but now I'm just annoyed wih Juan Pablo. I totally called the three he sent home because none of them got any screen time. I didn't even remember Alli. It's about to get good because he has a connection with everyone left. I still like Andi and Nikki. Renee is great which is why he won't pick her. Clare is fine, she's just doing her thing. Sharleen has grown on me. I don't see this season ending in a marriage.

So typically I don't chime in because I can never watch the show the night-of (how the heck are you all able to stay up till 10pm?!?!), but I just watched and oh.my.god.

Let me preface and say, I love this show. I get irrationally caught up in all the stupid drama, and each season I say I'm not going to watch again, and then fall right back into it...

I was super disgusted by his behavior with Claire. Not the fact that they had sex (which was pretty obvious), because what do I care what they do - but that conversation where he essentially slut-shamed her for behavior that he would be uncomfortable with his daughter seeing? Excuse me, but he could have said no. I'm pretty sure we're all clear which head this guy is leading with. And then the fact that he told her that if she didn't stop crying he would stop sharing things with her? Get the F out of here. THEN his flippant attitude about her crying in front of the other girls? Lame times infinity. I am officially no longer a fan of JP!

I agree with everyone too lol. They had sex for sure. And telling Rene he is not kissing her bc of her son is TOTAL BS!! He kissed Cassandra and she has a kid too! I am no longer a fan of him, and even his accent I once found sexy is annoying me! I think Rene can do better than him honestly so for that reason I don't think I even want him to pick her! This season just kind of sucks

Apparently I am gonna have an OP on this one. First, I agree with PP, how can anyone stay up and watch it on Monday! Second, they definitely had sex. She told everybody in her toast too. That being said, ugh I have hated her from her first interview. She seems like a fake who always has to get her way. Beyond that, she totally had bad intentions and to say, "I just wanted to swim in the ocean" is a load. That being said, I do agree with PPs that JP is very into physical. He's quite hard to read period. And he clearly has a weakness for clare since he can never stop kissing her, but I totally respect him for regretting the sea sex. Things can happen and people get caught up, but you don't have to feel good about them. And I think he honestly just wanted to tell her about his feelings and she got all defensive because she knew she had bad intentions. I also appreciated that he told her he wanted it to be fair to all the other girls and that her coming after the date was wrong... It was and it always annoys me when they do that. It's disrespectful to the other women.

On the other women, I actually like andi despite her whining. Love Renee but I think she's too good for him. I also like Nikki. Even last week I thought she was misunderstood.But maybe it's because I have a similar negative attitude sometimes. I think she is real and I like that. Sharlene is slowly growing on me, but only slightly... I don't know who I want to win. I don't know if JP is good enough for any of the girls I really like. But probably he and Nikki or andi would make an okay match. Or maybe he and clare deserve each other.

God I wanted to check out this thread so bad yesterday but I didn't watch it until last night on the PVR, cant stand commercials. Anyways they totally must have either done it or fooled around hard otherwise what is the big deal. I am glad I am not the only one here who is starting to dislike JP. He was being really annoying last night about the whole Claire thing, the not kissing Renee thing, how he treated the other ladies on the group date (even though he is all about being fair, ya right) and even how he was excessively touching Nikki on the ear like over and over again. I still have hope things will turn out as a die hard fan and will definitely keep watching but I have a feeling there is more drama to come. I am liking Sharleen again, she seems real and not like she's acting to try and make him like her. Renee is my favourite but I also agree she wont get picked and hope she could be the next bachelorette. I think the girls he sent home last night were the correct ones to go. We will have to see what happens next week. JP is most definitely not a favourite bachelor of mine.

@BeesTimesThree She and her daughter were on this last season of Blood Vs. Water. Laura Morett and her daughter, Ciera Eastin. And Laura's first season was back in 2009, I believe. I can't remember which island they were on but she made it pretty far in both seasons. She has since quit her job where I work and babysits Ciera's two cute cute cute kids!

So cool! I don't remember Laura's first season, but I loved both of them last season. I wanted Ciera to win! I feel like last season Laura came off as a very dedicated mom, she handled some tough situations very well. I don't know how they do it living out there like that for so long. Hope they are both doing well!

Hi, crashing in from May but I love a good bachelor discussion so I can't help myself!

They absolutely got it on! While I don't really like Clare, (I generally think she is an overly-dramatic princess) the way he treated her was awful and I really felt bad for her.

I agree with all of you that Renee is the best, she is so down to earth and I just really like her but I would hate for her to end up with JP. He's just getting creepier and douchier as the weeks go on and she can totally do better. i also think he would be a terrible role model for her son.

I couldn't agree more, ladies. I'm way over Juan Pablo. He's making this whole season kinda suck. Honestly, after the second episode, he just made me feel awkward and uncomfortable--I don't like the way he talks about the ladies or to the ladies, and his whole stance on the show is bizarre.

The article that @lizardbreath14 posted is perfect. I totally agree that they had sex, and I TOTALLY agree that he then proceeded to slut-shame her for what appeared to me to be a completely consensual act. After it happened, in his interview, he said "we got a little wild, too" and kind of grinned. Putting all the blame on her is bullshit.

I'm also getting sick of JP. He uses his daughter as an excuse when he doesn't want to kiss a woman. In general, I'm not sure why the daughter is relevant to what he does on the show. Is she going to sit down and watch the entire season? She's four years old. He should either do nothing with any woman because he wants to set a good example for his daughter or not bring his daughter into the conversation. So, his daughter will be upset that he did whatever with Claire in the ocean, but will like it that he made out with almost everyone on the group date? Ugh.

I don't hate JP as much as Ben, who was the worst Bachelor ever, IMO.

He wrote about the whole Clare incident after Monday's airing. He said many people believe they did get it on but he specifically said they did not. He said that if you see how crazy she has been in the past episodes, it's no surprise she would react this way without that level of involvement.
