Oh my goodness why didn't I discover this earlier!!!? At 22 weeks, my mobility was already feeling limited, I was sleeping horribly, my libido was gone, and I was feeling completely useless at work (I'm a teacher). This week not only am I waking up wanting sexy time, my husband says I am moving around the house like I'm not even pregnant! At work I was efficient, and although I still wake up due to thirst and having to pee (vicious cycle), I'm not waking up in pain. I LOVE prenatal yoga and if any of you ladies haven't tried it I beg you to do so!!!
Re: Prenatal Yoga... Life Changing!
I have a membership at Goodlife which includes regular yoga for free, but no pre-natal. I only started doing yoga when I got pregnant (before I was more into the high intensity workout classes), but I'm worried that with all the lying on the back, planks, and lying on belly), regular yoga may not be good.
I don't want to pay extra for the prenatal yoga elsewhere if the difference isn't too substantial - any yoga masters out there with advice?
aleksandra_irmina: Some (most?) prenatal yogas specifically help with blood flow to the uterus, help to stretch things that pregnant women need help with, and focus on making the stretches safe for a growing belly. I've been using these videos: https://www.amazon.com/Complete-Prenatal-Vinyasa-Short-Forms/dp/B0032ZOXYO and I LOVE them. I have literally been doing yoga every single night since I learned I was pregnant, and I feel it's really been great for me. (About half of the nights it's one of these videos, the other half I just do my own stretches inspired by the videos at my own pace).
do you go to a class or have a DVD? I hated the DVD I got last time around but would love a recommendation if you, or anyone else, has one.
