Daughter Got Into Litter Box

Hi all,

My 2-year old daughter got into the cat's litter box tonight while I was cooking dinner. I don't quite know the extent to which she "got into" it, but she did have some feces and litter on her clothes and hands. I promptly removed her clothes and washed her hands and arms with antibacterial soap, but am just wondering if there's anything I should be particularly concerned about. I know the complications that can arise from toxoplasmosis in pregnant women and young children, but our cat is an indoor cat and is unlikely to be infected with anything. Should I call the doctor or anything?

To further complicate things, I'm 5 months pregnant, but that's another matter entirely. I washed my own hands and arms as well, but that's about all I can do I think.

I'm sure she is fine. Call the doctor if it will make you feel better though.

Yeah, it's gross but she's probably fine.

Indoor cats can still become infected but it's not as likely since they are not exposed to rodents (unless they are in the house) and not eating raw meat. Wouldn't hurt to call the dr though.
