Question for the Moms

Did your babies "drop"? And if so, how long after did labor start?

I'm 35 weeks, and all my coworkers are freaking me out by saying I've dropped. And he FEELS lower too, like he's sitting right on my cervix. Any advice? :)

Re: Question for the Moms

  • One baby did about 32 weeks or so and at 38 weeks I still hadn't gone into labor so I had a csection.  She felt really really low, like she was stretching my uterus open.

  • I was just looking back at my notes, and at about 35 weeks, I stated that it felt like she was going to "fall out" any minute.

I went to 37 & 1/2 weeks and SROM on my own.

If I had to guess, baby could sit there for a while. People just say that like they know what they're talking about ;-)

  • Katen never dropped. She just decided to show up one day a month or so early.  :) Total surprise!

  • I would say I dropped 2-3 weeks before my water broke.
  • Ethan was "right there" according to my OB at about 36 weeks, but I had a c section scheduled for 39w2d and I made it ....

  • Ben was low around 36 weeks, but I don't think I really dropped until 38 or 39 weeks. I had to be induced at 41 weeks though.
  • DD never dropped.  She was breech, though, so maybe that had something to do with it?
