Pregnant after IF

**2IF Grad Check-In**

Congrats to everyone for making it here!  This check-in is for graduates of the 2IF board (and any other secondary infertility grads).  If you are new to the check-in, please let us know your due date and you will be added for next week.

MJC1116, congrats on passing your glucose test!  Whew!  And I hope your maternity photos turn out great (I would love to see some of them).  KristyLynn26, good luck on your glucose test too, and that really stinks about the OOP progesterone!  I hope you can talk your insurance company into covering the cost.  Ally510, congrats on a low-risk NT…. that’s a big milestone!  AlmostWright, glad you are over the stomach bug and hope the m/s passes soon too.  Kndeckar, I don’t know if you saw my post on last week’s check-in, but Colace was a miracle worker for me.  I take one in the morning and one and night, per OB’s advice.  Hope it helps you too.

Re: **2IF Grad Check-In**

  • I'm 28 weeks, and feeling good some of the time and very uncomfortable other times.  But more than happy to be uncomfortable for this reason.  I had our 28 week appointment last week, and OB diagnosed Monday's weird flashing floater/headache as an ocular migraine.  Never had one of those before!  My appt. was at 27w5d, and I measured 30cm!  Yikes!  She ran a non-stress test on LO since movement has been sporadic, and baby looked fine.  She now has me coming in every two weeks until 36 weeks, then weekly at that point.  I was positive for Rh- antibodies, so they are running a titer test to determine if it is just from the last Rhogam shot (probably so... and I hope and pray it was a false positive).

QOTW:  I am so tired of winter and snow that I would love to go somewhere warm and beachy right now.  Greece, Australia (except the plane ride), Caribbean ocean, or Hawaii would all be at the top of the list right now!

  • 1. How many weeks along are you? 27*4

    2.  Any medical updates (appointments, ultrasounds, tests/results, etc.)? Nothing to report! My next appointment is on the 19th.

    3.  How are you feeling lately?  I actually just got a bunch of energy just recently! I started working on the nursery (see other post) and I feel really energized and pumped about it!

    4.  QOTW:  If money were no object, where are some of the places that you and your SO/DH would want to go on a babymoon trip?  DH and I went to Hawaii for our babymoon with DD and it was amazing. We also honeymooned there (different island). I'd love to go back this year (with DD too!), but we have two out of state weddings and I doubt we'll be able to afford a trip this summer. I'm dreaming of a beach and some sun!

  • 1.  I'm 14 weeks.

    2.  I had an OB appt today and everything is looking good. As of now I have partial placenta previa, but there's still plenty of time for it to move so I'm not stressing over it yet. For now, my OB told me I can remain active (I teach group fitness classes) but put me on pelvic rest. Damn...just when my sex drive was returning!

    3.  Thankfully, the nausea has started to go away, but the acid reflux is still plaguing me.

    4.  QOTW: Probably Italy...we've been twice, but there are still areas (like Lake Como) we haven't seen that we'd love to. We had a trip planned to Barcelona in August, but needless to say, that has been cancelled.

  • I am 16 weeks! Finally over the stomach bug and the nausea is gone for the most part. Some days I even have a bit more energy which is great. I had an appt last Monday but nothing for 3 more weeks. I am finding this period to be hard--no nausea to remind me I am actually pregnant and I can't feel baby move yet (anterior placenta and tilted uterus). I am just trying to stay positive!

We would love to go back to Hawaii. We went to Maui for our honeymoon and wanted to go back for our 5 year anniversary, but that didn't happen so maybe 10 or 15 years. Not a babymoon, but we were hoping to bring DS to disney world before he starts kindergarten so are considering going when baby is a few months old. We may be crazy, but were thinking an infant would be easier than a mobile baby or when I was pregnant!

    DS born Jan 2010

TTC#2 since Nov 2010 with breaks for DH cancer tx (remission!)

Tube with hydro removed Feb 2013

    BFP 11/11/13 IUI#2 clomid+trigger+prometrium

    Beta #1 14dpIUI=106; Beta #2 16dpIUI=287; Beta #3 20dpIUI=1158

    5w6d 1 hb 109 and 2nd smaller sac; 7w0d 1 hb 125 and confirmed vanishing twin

  • 1.  How many weeks along are you? 25 Weeks!

    2.  Any medical updates (appointments, ultrasounds, tests/results, etc.)? I have an app't tomorrow afternoon. It's with the NP. I am hoping to schedule the GTT for the 14th since I'm off that day.

    3.  How are you feeling lately? Feeling good. Tired is the biggest ailment right now.

    4.  QOTW:  If money were no object, where are some of the places that you and your SO/DH would want to go on a babymoon trip? I'd love going back to Maui. DH hasn't been to any island.

  • 1.) I'm 13 weeks
2.) Nothing too exciting. Had my first OB appt which went great.
3.) Nausea is much better. Energy levels are somewhat better. After reading your response about Colace, I definitely think I'm going to pick some up!!
4.) Probably back to the resort we honeymooned at in Riviera Maya, Mexico. It was beautiful & I always envisioned us going back there for our 5 year anniversary, which is in August but now we are having a baby instead which is ok :)
