Most days he coos or looks around. The other morning he cried because he kicked his socks off at some point and his feet were cold. . As soon as I put socks back on him he went right back to sleep!
9 times outta 10 he gets woken up by his sister so he wasn't quite ready and typically cries. After the toddler morning excitement wears off (about an hour of remembering she's a big sister and has a baby brother, and smothers him in hugs and kisses), he goes back to sleep for an hour or two and is fine when he wakes up.
Addison cries a bit when I wake her up for daycare, because she is not all about waking up at 5:30 a.m. When she wakes up on her own on days off, she is really happy in the morning.
@dh13: That's the perfect description. Mine is happy and lets me shower in the am even. But if I take too long, he will squawk till he sees my face again. I've made up silly songs about lotion time and tooth brushing to keep him happy in his bassinet.
He just fusses a little bit. When i walk in there he smiles at me, melt!!!!!!
This morning around 5, he was full on screaming/crying and by the time H walked in there a minute or two later, he was passed out again. I guess he had a bad dream?!?
My LO usually wakes up happy and talking to himself. It's so cute! But he will get fussy after about 5-10 mins.
This. After ten minutes or so she fusses and starts doing little crunches, she really wants to sit up and check out the world. She's happy again once I position her up so she can see.
She's content for 15-20 minutes. If we dont go get her though after awhile she'll start yelling, but deft. not crying. Once you walk in the room she smiles so big and kicks her legs. I love it
My LO is soooo happy in the morning. I lay him on his kick and play while I do my makeup and get dressed. He always takes a good poop and laughs for about 45 min. Wish I was that happy in the morning! Maybe if I could take a good poop I would be!
I guess I'll be the first to say... She pretty much begins crying before her eyes are even open. She's always starving when she wakes and lets us know! Her daddy is the same way! Takes them a minute to snap out if sleepy land and then all smiles.
My LO has turned me into a morning person (I've always been a bear in the AM) he is just so happy and smiley and it's his favorite time of day!! Only thing that could ever keep me from getting cranky in the mornings is that sweet lil boy's smile
She sobs when she's wet and hungry, so yes, when she wakes up she wants help. I'm not sure why you started a post that sounds like "is my kid the only screamer? JK my kid is totes adorbs bitches sorry if you're woken up by screams but I'm woken up by her making me breakfast in bed!"
I'm exhausted and listen to her scream basically every time she wakes up, including from naps. It's a horrible sound and she doesn't stop until she is changed (which is fun because she's flailing) and has a boob in her mouth, while I feel like shit because she's so upset.

That is one of the ways I know that he is ready to wake up for the day. He will wake up cooing and smiling if it is the right time, and wake up sad and crabface if it is too early. Usually crabface means gas in the mornings.
This! If she sleeps til her "normal" time, she wakes up and talks to her mobile until the toddler hears her and runs in her room. If she wakes up "early," she's normally fussy or pooping
Depends on the day. Today was happy baby who kicked and giggled when he saw me, after contentedly looking around crib. Yesterday was angry you-didn't-get-to-me-fast-enough and I'm starving baby.
I'll add that while he wakes up happy in the am, the rest of the day is a toss up. Naps are always 50/50 chance he will wake up crying. And I have no clue how we are going to ever transition to crib bc I tried to put him down at bedtime last wknd and he woke up screaming. Now he doesn't want to see his crib once it's dark. He's about to outgrow his bassinet and I don't know what I am going to do.
Aryana only cries if she has a poopy diaper otherwise in the am she is smiles and talking. I have a routine of getting her up, on her changing table, take of sleeper change her diaper and redress her for the day, while doing so I tell her to tell me all about her dreams. It's our little morning bonding time. I miss it when I have to leave early and DH gets to wake her.
