Alright ladies, my cleaning binge is starting to chill out now. I haven't done any major projects since I did our master closet. I need to do my son's closet something fierce. It has all of our stuff from the "office" that was his room in boxes in his closet. Plus it has his clothes, and the misc baby stuff. Basically, it's a mess. It's a walk in closet you can't walk into. Which bring me to the question:

If time were not an issue (or money) what area of your house would you re-do/ re-organize ???

Probably the closet I just described or I would get a bigger shed or EH's junk- I mean tools

I would love to get nice closet organizers for DD closet and the "baby room" closet. (I have a room with 2 cribs that is used for daycare now, but is called the baby room.). If money wasn't a concern I would go crazy buying some nice organizers for just about every room in my home. I'm terrible at keeping things clean an organized, but with the right organizational tools, I could get motivated.

We just moved to a new and much bigger house over the summer, so we used that as a chance to de-clutter and get organized. I am pretty happy with everything right now - our place is actually too big for us. We have a room that isn't being used at all - it should be the nursery for baby no 2.

And we have another room just for my cat Holly who doesn't get along with the other 2 cats! One thing on our list for the future is that we are saving for a whole house generator so that we don't have to evacuate for hurricanes. Obviously we wouldn't stay for a major one but we wouldn't want to leave for a lesser storm if we had a generator to use if we lost power.

I am in a major de-clutter and reorganize mood recently! I think I would choose our master bedroom closet. I really want to have a company come in and make it customized with shelves and drawers, however, EH thinks he is handy enough to do it himself

Just to tell you how handy he is, we have a grill cart still sitting in our garage that he began building last year. He cut the doors the wrong size and he keeps swearing he will go back and fix them. Meanwhile there it sits, mocking me.

I agree, if money weren't an issue we would be rollin outta here. Our house if pretty small (about 950 sq ft), and even tho I am freakishly organized you can only cram so much stuff in so many places. Butttt if we were forced to stay here, I would want to redo the bathroom, entry way, and laundry room.

@chrissynena our homes are about the same size. Our house is just shy of 1000 sq feet. It's a jack and Jill style. 2 identical bedrooms with walkin closets and attatched bathrooms. We have really high ceilings and skylights though. I thought they were cool when we bought the house but, I can't change a light bulb or clean the windows...our ladder at its tallest setting still won't reach it.

This too... But we plan to start looking here really soon. But for where we are now... closets and the kitchen.. need more storage space.

Oh man, if money were no issue, I'd love to really spruce up the garage. We currently use random old book shelves along one wall that are ok, but a really good quality, matching set-up would be amazing. Of course, we could really go to simply cleaning it out. But that's where the unlimited time comes in. There are so many other things we want to do with our time.

@jeffreysmom24, we kept DS's current bedroom completely empty for three years before it became his room. I didn't want to put anything in there because I felt like it was a symbol of giving up. So, empty it stayed until we got a bassinet

@JimBobCooter that's how I feel about our backyard. It's big and fenced in with a nice size storage shed. Our neighborhood is pretty awesome too. If the house were just twice the size, we wouldn't leave.

We have to move. I've organized and re-configured and we are at capacity. We're looking now and will hopefully be in a new place by next Fall. If we weren't socking away money for a bigger down payment, I'd redo both bathrooms with more storage and re-do our floating steps to close them up and create a storage area under the staircase. Our garage needs an overhaul, but that's DH's land so I will leave that for his project.
