I applied for DDs SSN at the hospital when I filled out her birth certificate. It's been 3 weeks now and her card hasn't arrived.
How long did it take to get your LOs?

We got DD's about two weeks after she was born. Hospital said it could take up to six weeks.

We are 3 w today still haven't got it. Hospital said up to 6 weeks, I would assume it also depends on when the hospital sends the info in.

Guess I better stop by the SSN office and get a letter or something. I need to put her on DHs insurance and they require her SSN before they will add her.

We just got ours and dd is 2w. I was told that she could be temporarily added to the insurance if we didn't have a ssn before 30 days after birth. You can call to set that up. If for some reason the hospital didn't send in for a ssn, you can do that yourself, but you'll need a birth certificate to do so and that's what usually takes longer.

DD1 took 4 weeks. I called about DD2 after 5 weeks and they told me it usually takes 8 weeks.

3 weeks.
You can add to insurance without a ssn. They will just put in a dummy ssn until baby's ssn is issued. You call back at that time and have them update. (I used to work in the insurance industry.)
