From solids per recommendation of our pedi. We just had our 6 month check-up.
Background: We started solids 2 weeks ago, oatmeal & various fruits/veggies. LO had watery, mucousy poops, resulting in diaper rash. He then began refusing all solids. I experimented with BLW with little success.
Pedi thought that taking a break would be best. So we are offering a probiotic twice a day and sticking to BM only.
Anyone with similar situations? Anyone struggling with solids?
Re: Taking a break
We started N on solids about a week after he turned 5 months. He ate it just fine and while we didn't have poopy problems it was disrupting his sleep. He seemed extra fussy at night and he was making noises like he was pushing (although he never seemed constipated or had a problem going).
We noticed it only happened on the days we have him purees. We stopped for about 2 weeks and started again right around the 6 month mark. We now have no problems.
GL! Hope the break does him good.
I'm just hoping that he doesn't have any true allergies and I don't want eating to become stressful. A friend also recommended having someone else feed him, he might be expecting milk from me.
