  Sorry, I just read the post below.  I'm a little behind.  Have you tried any bleach at all (1/4 cup)?  Sounds like you did the stripping part right.  You might have to go at them like one of the pp said in your first post with dawn and a toothbrush or even a tide brush (without the tide).

  haven't heard of a tide brush. i'll have to look for one at the store. thanks for the suggestions! this is such a pain!

  It's a little battery operated brush with moving bristles.  It used to come with a 3 of 4 oz bottle of Tide.  I don't know what it comes with now...
