ANOTHER wine question..

So as I stated in my last post (which was only like an hour ago lol...sorry) I bought my first bottle of wine today. Well the good news is I just opened it and I love it! The bad news is I just pulled the cork out but now it won't go back in!! HELP! I don't want the wine to go bad if I put it back in the fridge without properly covering it..

You should put it in the fridge and take it out at 9, 12, 3 and 6

They say your not suppose to put the cork back in backwards but I do it all the time. For next time if you don't want to do that you can buy a wine cork that is reusable.

What are you drinking champagne ? I have never seen a cork like that on wine .

Was it carbonated ? If it's champagne just drink the whole thing . I never save it and I don't think it lasts that long . As for wine I save mine no more than 3 days but usually 2 .

Yeah sparkling wine is like an other carbonated drink. Once opened it will start to go flat within 24 hrs. If you don't even have a cork to put back on its pointless. I usually will drink sparkling wine with a group. They sell smaller bottles if you are going to be the only one drinking it.

Because I'm such a classy individual, my favorite wine has a lid that screws on and off. No shoving corks back in over here

We always used to fold up a paper towel and stuff if in... Although in hindsight plastic wrap would have probably done the trick... If you have an Emory water bottle, maybe you could pour it in there and close the top?

My Nana always puts the handle of a spoon in sparkling wine. Then wraps it with foil. I guess it helps keep it sparking! Lol I've never had bad mimosas at her house so it must work.
