If your baby is/was breech...

Did it feel like they were trying to head butt their way out of your ute from the top?

I'm feeling a ton of movement tonight and it's mostly her head (or at least what my doc said the head was on Wednesday, and I'm inclined to believe still is). Im wondering if she's trying to flip and can't!

Anyone else having these weird sensations? I wish I knew what was going on in there.

Re: If your baby is/was breech...

  • Mine was breech and I only felt movement down low.
  • Loading the player...
  • My baby was breech at 36 weeks and I did some of the recommended movements in hopes of him turning.  I then had some painful/odd movement and sure enough he was head down at my next appointment.
  • Anything that feels like the "typical" movement I've had is down low (limbs, I'm guessing?) but this is just strange feeling. Maybe it means she'll figure it out?

My fingers are crossed for you! When it comes to general movement, I really couldn't tell the difference between what was happening when he was breech vs head down.  It all felt the same so I was really shocked when I went to my next appt and my OB said he was in the correct position then.
  • My little one was breech for quite a long time. I swear I could tell when she flipped because the movement was bizarre and kind of painful. Then I started feeling a lump pushing out up high. I was hoping it was her butt not her head. Sure enough at my next appointment, baby was head down (36 weeks). At 37 weeks she dropped and head is engaged. No flipping back for this little lady.
  • My baby was breech until 35 weeks and during those last few days before she flipped I could feel all sorts of crazy things where her head was. I think it was her trying to make room to move and it did work in the end!  Good luck!

  • Charlie was breech and I could feel and see her stubborn little head poking out above my belly button for the last two months.

  • Sometimes I look like I have a 3rd boob (her head) at the top if my rib cage and feel sometimes like she's sticking her butt out to the world through my belly button. She's curled up in a ball allllll on my right side. Mostly what I feel - I think - is her kicking her feet down to my bladder! I'm opting not to do an external version, and have been practically standing on my head trying to get her to flip! Here's hoping for all of us!
