Sorry I haven't been around much over the past 2 weeks. I lost my aunt, Patty, last Friday to cancer. She was 46. It was cervical cancer that was discovered 6 years ago during a miscarriage. She went through treatments and was fine until about 2 years ago when it came back and metastasized in her lungs. She had been fighting hard for 2 full years, going through treatments all over again and never giving up. She was there for me during my loss, during my next pregnancy, she threw my baby shower, and just adored Phoebe. We're going to miss her so much. I wanted to share a picture of her and Phoebe because it really is one of my favorites.
It's been really tough on all of us, but I tried to keep Phoebe's schedule as close to normal as possible during all of this. She struggled at first with all the new faces, but I think that helped her get over her stranger anxiety faster. Now she'll practically jump into anybody's arms as long as they're smiling and near me.

I am so very sorry for your loss. I remember so many times when you talked about your aunt. She sounds like she was an amazing woman- and you will be able to tell Phoebe all about her someday.
