I have a lazy baby!

I am very jealous of all you ladies who see/feel your LO's move from the outside. DH has yet to feel baby girl and I know he really, really wants to. I don't feel her kicking all that much either--I get a couple jabs a day (usually after dinner when I'm lying on the couch and first thing in the morning while I'm still in bed) I wonder if I just have a quiet child? Everything seems to be great at my ultrasounds/doctors appointments, so I don't think it is necessarily a medical issue. Anyone else wish the felt/saw more movement?

  • i have the same thing, doesnt seem to like being proded or if i lay on my back for 5 min

  • Our LO was pretty chill then in the last 2 weeks it's been a dance party in my ute. She might just be quiet because she's growing, I think I've read that a few other M14 gals said that happened to them too.
  • Do you know where your placenta is?  Sometimes if you have an anterior placenta it's much harder to feel movement for a while.

  • I have an anterior placenta and will be 25 weeks. I just started feeling regular movement within the last 2 weeks. I can now feel her and sometimes see her on the outside. Your time will come!
  • Ditto... I feel her in the morning and then at night. I think it's cause I'm moving around so much during the day? Also, I have an anterior placenta do I think that's part of it too. She also has more active and less active days. I wonder if it has to do with what I eat?? It definitely sucks to not feel her as much as other people can but I cherish when I do!!

  • This baby is definitely more chill than my first child. My son was active almost all day. This one, I'm lucky if I get a few kicks between noon and five in the afternoon. It makes me nervous!

  • My baby is super quiet too. She kicks first thing in the morning when I am at work and then later in the evenings but they are not consistent or hard. I have an anterior placenta too so I cannot feel it from the outside either :(

  • I have an anterior placenta, so I don't feel much and DH hasn't had a chance yet.

  • I have an anterior placenta and a lazy baby.  I feel movement very rarely.  It's so different from DD whom I felt constantly!

  • I've been saying the same thing until this past week.  Now she's having dance parties in there and DH was finally able to feel her give some definite jabs last night.  Late bloomers?
  • I have 2 in there and it's still hard for DH to feel them move. He's only felt it with his hand a couple of times. What we do is he lays his head on my stomach and he can hear them move and most of the time the babies don't like the pressure so they'll kick out and he'll get a little tap. Maybe try that?

  • I'm not sure how, but I have anterior placenta and feel HUGE jabs from inside AND outside every time... ATLEAST 100-200 jabs or so per day!!! She's damn near penetrating my poor ute! It blows my mind!!
  • Me too, don't feel much yet. My Ob days it's totally normal not to feel the baby regularly before 28w. Don't worry, as your LO gets bigger you will feel more and more.

  • My Baby A used to be very active, but now she has quieted down a lot.  And Baby B is the one who is always dancing around these days.  I have an anterior placenta, too.  So it was very tough to wait to feel those movements.

  • Totally off subject, @kramja01 but yesterday I was on DH's laptop (I'm normally on mobile)...DS climbed into my lap and he saw your siggy. He exclaimed "it's Charlie!" So apparently our beagles look a whole lot alike to my 2.5 year old.
