My husband and I moved to Omaha in April and I gave birth to our 1st child (Eleanor) in June. I was wondering if anybody had suggestions for things to do with a little one in the community? I need to get out and meet people

If you like outdoor activities there is a local group for family camping activities. You might also look on Meet Up website. I've found some local groups for my interests. Welcome.
Henry Doorly Zoo Omaha Children's Museum Cabela's on 96th (Aquarium, Animal display inside store) Sheels on 168th (Fun and games in the middle) Rotella's Bread Factory on 108th (Bread well priced at the Factory store)
Omaha's zoo just got voted #1 in the world SO I would suggest a zoo pass and many visits this summer, it never gets old I like to go during the week in the morning (it's never too busy and sometimes you can catch the feeding times).
I know this is way past your post date, but I just saw this. Have you heard of MOPS (mothers of preschoolers)? It's a great mommy group for those that are expecting up until their last one goes to kindergarten. I highly recommend it.
