Drink wine and remain calm

Just put DS down in his crib for the night for the first time. Freaking out a little, but I'm not sure why since he naps in there every day so I'm sure it's NBD for him. I am drinking a glass of wine to chill out, but enjoying being able to watch TV in bed for a change. Here's to hoping tonight goes well :) Picture for your time and please don't mind the unpacking mess in the background.

Re: Drink wine and remain calm

  • I support drinking wine and remaining calm regardless of the occasion.
    But good luck.

  • I am about to pour myself a glass of Moscato and relax.  Good luck on the crib transition.  We were supposed to put LO in the crib when DH got back from his trip last night, but I purposely put all of the baby clothes that didn't fit into the crib for sorting and never got around to it.  lol

  • Good luck.  I think I'm going to try the crib out tonight as well.  We are like at least 2 hours out until bedtime though lol.  This girl is still wide awake and playing.

  • I am out of wine and have so much anxiety over 4 month shots tomorrow morning. Bad night to be out of wine. I am contemplating walking 5 blocks in the 10 degree weather to get myself some wine. But, maybe I will just go to sleep instead.

  • Thanks guys! I know it will be nice to have our room back, but I am so lazy and not looking forward to going upstairs the 3-4 times a night he has been waking up lately. Here's to hoping for good sleep!

  • Good luck! LO has been falling asleep in her RNP in the nursery each night around 7 then DH moves her to our room for the night so I can BF easily and because I love having her near me. Debating just letting her sleep in the nursery tonight so I may be on team wine with you as well! Hope you have a restful night!

  • Thanks for the support. It went pretty well. He was up twice and then wouldn't go back down after 5:45 so I brought him back to bed with me and we slept til 7. My problem is he keeps turning sideways in his crib and waking himself up kicking the headboard. Any thoughts on how to keep him straight? I may try putting a rolled up blanket under the sheet like I had to do in his cosleeper.
