Do your kids ever have days where they don't seem to be using their words nearly as much as they normally do? DD1 was REALLY emotional yesterday, and she would just start whining and then quickly escalate to hard crying, but wouldn't tell me what was wrong. So I would end up playing 20 questions (do you want a drink? are you hungry? does your tummy hurt?) with her until I stumbled upon whatever it was that was bothering her. And once I figured it out, the crying stopped pretty quickly.
I kept reminding her to use her words and tell mommy what she needed, but she seemed like she was having trouble getting a hold of herself and verbalizing. This was really uncharacteristic for her. Have any of you had days like this? It was rough because she was REALLY upset and hard to calm down.
Re: s/o non stop chatting
For her, I think she is snacking a lot out of boredom. When we're home she's constantly dragging me to the kitchen. But when we're out and about, she really only asks for maybe one snack between meals. I can't wait for winter to be over!
