So my 17 mo has always been a pretty late riser (as far as toddlers/babies go). She's been waking between 7:30 - 8:30am(bedtime at 7:30pm) for the past 10 months or so. All of a sudden, though, she's waking between 6:30-7am. This has been going on for the last month. It does coincide with teething (all 4 canines have been working their way down for the past month) but teething has never caused her to wake early before, and when she wakes up she just starts babbling, as usual. Not crying. Has anyone else experienced something similar with their kid? Did they go back to waking later again or is this her new wake-up time? Of course this starts a few months before I'm due with baby #2!
Re: Late riser suddenly waking early
we just started experiencing this this week.
DD is almost 15 months old and has steadily slept from 7-630am for the past 7-8 months. The past three mornings she's been up at 530am on the dot. Normal naps, normal bedtime. We did start limiting pacifier use a bit...using it more for naps and bedtime and trying to take it away while she's just hanging out during the day and instructed daycare to do the same. She's never been one to wake if it falls out at night..
it's amazing how chaotic our mornings have been without that hour to get ourselves ready!
