  Nina sleeps in her crib transitioned into a toddler bed. When we start trying for another baby we are moving her to a different room that will have a twin bed. When our second baby is done with the crib we have a full size bed Nina will have and move the second kid to the twin.

  She's been in a twin bed (with a boxspring, on the floor, no bed frame) since she was about 17 months old. A neighbor gave us some mesh covered bed rails, which we're still using.  The crib does convert, but we wanted to use it for DD2 instead of buying a second crib.
  
  I'm really glad we didn't spend money on a toddler bed.  It is so much roomier and more comfortable for us to lay in the twin bed together and read stories, etc.  We also had a tough transition, so I spent a LOT of time laying with her!

  Still crib. Summer time we'll convert the crib into the daybed.

  As you can see in my "girls room" post, she sleeps half on her sister's bed, half on her own bed (both twin size)

  DD sleeps in a queen bed.  At first we were worried it'd be too big for her, but now we love it.  She has a HUGE bed to roll around in and we don't worry that she'll fall out. 
  
  We do have a railing up on the side of the bed that she hugs.
