TTGP IF WEEKLY CHECK IN

This check in is meant for anyone on TTGP who has hit the 1 year mark of TTC (6 months if you’re over 35), has an infertility diagnosis, or are going through IF testing/treatment. It is meant to be a place for people to share and ask any questions who might not participate on 3T or IF who would like the company of others going through the same experiences.

If you would like to participate, please send me a PRIVATE MESSAGE with your info and I will add you on, and please feel free to post your intro. This will be posted every Monday morning, AKST. If you have any suggestions or would like something added, please feel free to post.

I'm now 5dpo and testing out my trigger which has been positive for 7 days. I'm not very hopeful this cycle and trying not to get my hopes up.

I don't remember if I got to update about our transfer last week, but we transferred 2 blasts on Wednesday (1 grade 1 expanded blast adn 1 grade 2 early blast). Yet again we didn't have anything to freeze.

I am 5dp5dt and stupidly (with my pee pusher husband's encouragement) tested with a FRER even after my wondfo was a stark white negative. Surprise Surprise, the FRER was a BFN, no even hint of a second line. I know that 10 DPO is early to get a BFP, but I was just really hoping for a hint of a line (especially since FRERs seem to be much more sensitive than my wondfos). I guess on the positive side, I know my trigger is out so any line I see from here on out is a real BFP. I don't know if I will test tomorrow or wait until Wednesday. I am having a hard time staying positive today.

QOTW: Hmm... I want to say Elizabeth Bennet from Pride and Prejudice, but I would want to live in modern times. I'll have to think about this one.

AFM, day 7 of injects - stopped stims today and just took the lupron. I should be triggering tomorrow for B2B IUIs on Wed and Thurs.

@jaytee16 - Obviously, good luck, but also a question - what's up with B2B IUIs? I've never heard of that and was just wondering.

AFM - I'm 11dpo if we believe the OPKs since I didn't temp. Yesterday I had some weird cramping, so of course I'm all "I felt the implantation!!!" However, today I'm moody so that feels pretty PMS-y to me. I have high hopes for this cycle because 1) our timing was accidentally awesome; 2) I touched the fertility statues (y'all, they're for real); and 3) I don't want to start injects.

QOTW: So many! Probably Belle. Pretty, sassy, smart - I want to be all of those things. The giant library wouldn't hurt.

@mmb248 - FX so hard for you!! I mean, you touched the statues AND felt implantation!

I honestly have no idea, I showed up the second morning without H last time and was totally surprised they expected him a second morning! That just seems to be their policy, they do them B2B. I have heard of a couple of people that have done them, but it doesn't seem like the norm. I'm just going with it and hoping to increase our chances!

@jaytee16 - Good luck with the IUIs! My clinic likes to do B2Bs as well. I've read that there isn't much difference in success rates, but if we had gone that route I probably would have tried anything too!

AFM: Saturday was my ER. They retrieved 12 eggs and 9 were fertilized! Tomorrow morning we'll get our second fert report and depending on how everything looks we'll either go in for a Day 3 transfer or wait until Thursday for a Day 5 transfer. I'm nervous, but feeling really hopeful too. Only ~15 hours until the next phone call!

QOTW: Harry Potter. Or if I have to pick a female character - Hermione Granger. Obviously. And I would end up with Harry. Any other HP fans hear what JK said about that? I knew it all along.

AFM - We're starting our last natural cycle. After this one, we'll start IUI.

I was a "little late! (come on now) while in Mexico and got my hopes up .. LOL. Ended in an awful awful long and heavy AF. Let's not go there.

@NariaDreaming Sorry your IUI got cancelled. I can't say enough that I'm so glad that you're going with a new RE. From your PP, your other RE seemed like such a rude idiot.

@jaytee16 Good luck with your B2B IUI! Like @mmb248 I've never heard of that, but FX so hard that this is it for you!

As always @Milagros315 I'm really, really psyched for you! Everything so far has been nothing short of promising so FX that you get a fantastic report tomorrow and you get your BFP this cycle!

@Emejay Being a little late sucks so much. I had a cycle like that and I still shake my fist at it sometimes. But, I hope you had a great time in Mexico!

@SnakeFisherBub I'm glad you're seeing a RE soon. The whole insurance thing is so confusing and crazy, but I hope when you get your consult that you get the info you need. I'm looking forward to updates from you!

AFM, not much going on over here. I had my f/u with my RE on Friday and I've never seen him happier. He saw greatly reduced ovaries, (I went from 6cm to 3cm in size), and lots of follies! He strongly recommended that I resume "normal activity" since I'm about to ovulate so I guess that's where I'm at. If and when I get to CD1, I'm going to start taking Lupron for the next 4-6 weeks while prepping for IVF #1, which puts me in mid March. Some really good news, while my insurance doesn't cover IVF (they only cover blood work and monitoring), the medication is covered. WOOHOO! I feel so relieved; one less thing to drain my savings on.

That's awesome that you can at least get the meds covered! That will be great since you're going to be on Lupron for so long. What dose will you be on? For me it wasn't too bad and I actually had some improvement in my endo pain. I hope that it's the same for you!

@Milagros315 Yay! Well, you already know I blog stalk you so the feeling is mutual

I'm on the lower dose, 3.75mg. I really hope I don't have the crazy side effects that I keep reading about, but knowing me, I will. My RE gave me a script to help for the hot flashes and headaches if I get them. Hoping it'll go by quickly since I'm really excited to get the show on the road.

My first Beta at 10dp5dt was only 7.3 and at that point I had a crap ton of heavy bleeding, so it was looking pretty gloomy- 2nd beta tripled to 26, and now my 3rd beta today was 47, so not quite as amazing, but it's going up the way it should, so I am trying to keep my fingers crossed and hope for the best, but I'm definitely not out of the woods yet, so I can really use some T&P!
