I used to post a lot here early in my pregnancy but lost track midway through. Now I come back a lot to read and post some.
I just wanted to know if anyone else was going through the same thing I am.
First of all my DD was born on her due date 9/22. She is a happy and healthy baby.
On 10/8 when she had a check up we found out that her left eye is much smaller than her right. We were sent to The Eye Institute to have it checked out. Come to find out her optic nerve did not develop in her left eye. The right eye is perfect. An apt in 1/23 confirmed she would have little to no vision in the left eye.
We are now scheduled for an MRI of her eyes and brain. They want to make sure the brain developed correctly. The are going to have to use anethesia. I can't feed her 4 hours before the scan. I've never been through this before. Just wondering if anyone else had any words of advice. Thanks so much!

This is our first child. We are praying this one is our sticky baby. Hoping and praying for a successful 9 months.

Re: Anyone else ?
My two older sons recently had anesthesia for the first time this November. They were older than your LO but it is still stressful. I wish I could be more help but I can lend an ear if you need one. My thoughts are with your LO and hopefully the scan comes back fine.
-My step-daughter is 12 years old.
-BFP #1 on 9/2/12, D&C 10/18/12 no heartbeat on US @ 10 weeks.
-BFP #2 on 1/7/13, R was born on 9/22/13 via C-Section
All pp's left great advice. Find your ways to cope and get the stress out instead of trying to just hold it all together all the time. It is ok to ask a lot of questions and it is ok to cry, it does not mean you are weak. You are doing what is best for your LO and there is nothing stronger than that.
Good luck to you and LO.
