Grumpy Monday check in

So we stayed up late watching ur super bowl (normally I take a nap with LO from 8 to 9). Well being at my sisters yesterday to watch the game LO was way overstimulated and basically comfort nursed for the entire game. An of course because DH is huge into football (don't get me wrong so am I). Whenever LO needed a diaper change and I asked him to change her he would so the "wait till after this play" while I have a screaming baby... So I would just go do it.
Then last night LO was super fussy because we tried a sleep sack vs a sleep sack swaddler (only discovered that this was the source of her fussiness after I changed her back into the swaddler and lo and behold she slept). So I got 3 hours of sleep last night, meanwhile DH sleeps in so he'll prolly be up around 10 this morning and then want to take DD to see our inlaws (because they NEED to see her on a weekly basis and they are going out of town tomorrow) so my grumpy ass needs to put on a fake happy smile when all I want to do is stay in my pjs and try to get a nap in between feedings.
On top of that because I get up on my own and since LO has before a lot more alert I can't seem to pump anymore.
Anyone else feeling super grumpy today? Especially Denver fans

Yup, my family has been a Broncos fans for years and this season was the season I did not keep up with them (school & pregnancy.) Hey, what do you know they make up to Superbowl finally. Only to watch them beat a dead horse...

Very disappointed in my Broncos! Taking DD to the Dr this morning for a weight check and I'm extreamly nervous. We have had struggles with her gaining weight so I've been pumping after feeds to suplement. At her LC weight check Thursday she was up 1.2oz in 48 hrs.

At one point last night, both kids were up and screaming. Mia was nursing from 30-45 minutes at a time every two hours, and we're having issues with nursing because I think I have a forceful letdown that makes nursing uncomfortable for her at times. DS isn't feeling well, so he's home from school today. I'm exhausted and need coffee.

LO is going through a growth spurt and literally wants to feed every hour. I was up from 11pm to 4am straight because she would constantly want to feed. I also have my first ever hemorrhoid and it really really stinks and feels like I am pooping glass. (TMI I know) LO has also had 2 episodes of vomiting...it was so much and forceful. No temp but I still feel so bad for her and I am hoping it is just due to overfeeding. DH also just accepted a new position at his work with Monday/Tuesday off. We both use to work mon-friday...now I wont have any days off with him when I go back to work...but it pays more... UGH..Mondays

It must have been the night for fussy babies. Grace is ten days now and wanted to eat every two hours. And that's on the breast then taking 2-21/2 oz of ebm/formula. So by the time I nurse fed and pumped, she was up and ready again. I gave her to SO and skipped a whole feeding bc I couldn't get up. Oh what a day today.

We go through this nightly. I cannot seem to get my girl to sleep either. DH has the magic touch. He says it's just because I smell like mom and she's stimulated by the food source and doesn't understand she can sleep with me. It's super frustrating and I've lost it a few times as a result. So don't feel too bad; you're the only one!

So far I am not grumpy today yet but last night was rough! We were at the ILs for the Super Bowl and I was planning on heading home around half time but DD was waaaay overstimulated and just wailing while DS was not obeying and putting his shoes and jacket on.

I finally get home and get DD settled down by putting her in the Ktan and DS is being a little turd and being difficult to get to bed. It was the bedtime routine that wouldn't end. Oh I can't wait till DH is home again and he can help deal with DS. That kid has a healthy fear of his father but gets so testy with me!

Must've been the night for fussy babies- I let DH try keeping LO up during the day to attempt to get her to sleep more at night... The results were unpleasant to say the least.

LO and I have been napping in and off since 2am. Screw keeping her up, I'm getting sleep whenever I can!

J slept through the entire superbowl, he, never sleeps that long. Then he wanted to party/watch the game from 3-6am.

wtf. We just napped the past 2 hours.

I'm a broncos die hard fan, coloradoan born and raised. I feel stunned and pretty sad this morning. That was shocking.

DD didn't poop all day yesterday and got the urge three times in the night. She grunts and strains and is very noisy. Then after each feeding she wanted to party. I sent DH to guest room and planted myself in the middle of my bed with her on my chest. Not ideal but I was so tired.

I'm joining the grumpy party…the texts and calls about when am I having the baby are starting to get to me. I was pretty good about laughing it off for the few days leading up to the due date and the day or two after but now I want to be so snarky with people. I'm not psychic so I don't know when he is coming! As to "how are you feeling?" well you can guess how I'm feeling and it isn't particularly cheery or comfortable!

Big breath…ahhh that feels better.

I'm grump with DH. He works nights so I take care of LO by myself at night, which would be fine except then DH comes home and sleeps through DS's crying, and I have to do everything all morning too! And DH used to be really good about helping.

Also I'm pretty annoyed he didn't back me up with MIL yesterday. She came over with his sick niece when we told her not to bring her, then snatched DS from me and passed him around to all the relatives she'd brought with her (they had just said they'd been sick all last week). She kept rubbing her oily face all over his because it's 'so soft' and trying to wake him up and make him cry to 'see those beautiful blue eyes'.

Then when I finally got him back and he started crying, and she snatched him from me saying 'I never get to hold him'. I told her 'No, you've done nothing but hold him since you got here, and he's hungry now' and she said 'Well it's not enough holding time for me!'

I finally got them to leave because DS was screaming to eat and the weather was getting bad. DH apparently noticed nothing. So I'm in a pretty annoyed mood. LO has a zit on his face today and I'm sure it's from her weird face-rubbing.

Sounds like you and I had the same night. My LO was awake and screaming from 11pm - 4am and then up again at 6:30am and feeding every 1.5 hours. I got 2-3 hours of sleep last night at best and I'm so exhausted. He's carrying it into today as well and won't let me put him down so I can't even nap or get anything done. Praying he sleeps tonight, but I highly doubt it :-/

My normally easy going 3 year old was up throwing tantrum in the middle of the night. And of course his baby sister starts crying too

I know my 3 year old is having a rough time with the new baby, but I was so annoyed with him then immediately felt an overwhelming sense of guilt which resulted in secret crying in the bathroom during a pumping session. Then just as I was drifting off to sleep, the baby wakes up. Okay, no problem - diaper change, then feed, right? Well, she starts eating and pooping at the same time. Changed the diaper, and she was hungry again. Fed her again, she starts pooping again and dozing off too. I changed her diaper and that made her wide awake. Then it was time for me to get up, pump, shower, and get my son up for preschool. I'm beat.

Thanks for letting me ramble on and vent!

DS woke up about every hour and a half last night. He had two good naps this morning, and now he's tired again, but he's fighting it. I'm sleepy. He wants me to rock his RNP the whole time he sleeps, but I need to get some stuff done. Poor guy.
