Bad Mom Confession

So, I almost never wash DD's toys. Ever. The stuffed fox she keeps in her crib with her gets a washing now and again, but as for the rest, nope.

Am I the worst?! Tell me I'm not alone. What's your bad mom confession? I need a better word for "bad."

    Plus, most of her toys say they are not machine washable. I don't have the time to get a wash cloth, get mild soap on it, wipe it down, blot with a damp wash cloth, then air dry.

    If anything gets really dirty, I toss it.

    Exactly!  Unless they're really gross, I just do a quick wipe.  But don't tell DH.  He freaks out with anything that hits the floor.  I have to remind him that she crawls and her hands are always on the floor.

    Another confession, I let the dog kiss her.  It's not excessive, just once when we get home, and it makes her giggle.  Again, don't tell DH.

    I do the same thing :)  She gets so excited when he comes over and gives her a kiss.

    Does picking the dog hair off the toys count as cleaning? Lol I'll sometimes wash hard toys with the dishes, but I've honestly never disinfected anything. It may be crazy, but a little dirt is better than cleaning chemicals!

    My dog licks DD all the time. Especially if she's defenseless in her jolly jumper! Lol

    I also have never sterilized any of her nipples, bottles or pump parts, I just wash them in hot soapy water.

    We once slept on sheets for 2 days after DS2's diaper leaked in our bed. We were exhausted. DH thought I was feverish because I'm a sheet changing freak. But not that day.

    You gals are awesome. I have a few mom friends I love but they carry toy wipes around like they're a THING and it makes me nervy. Clearly, they have got me fooled. 

    I also let her put things in her mouth and she has been known to eat food off the floor. It's kind of NBD. I'm more worried about chemicals than I am about dirt or germs.

    You're not the worst! And I think anyone who says they do this on a regular basis is either #1 lying #2BSC or #3 is lying and is BSC.


    I love this! SO true! Also, I may or may not look the other way when my son plays with cat toys. And I also wait to vacuum the rug until Ben won't stop attempting to eat the cat hair he likes to pick off the rug.

    I may or may not have put Baby Boots back to sleep in a wet diaper after a night feeding. I can rationalize lots of things when it's 3AM and I'm sleep deprived.

    Z sleeps 8 hrs most nights but on the rare occasion he gets a MOTN feeding I only change him if he poops. @BootsOrHearts how has BFing been going? Did Baby Boots finally figure things out?
    No, he still hasn't figured it out. :-( Newest LC thinks it's a tongue/lip tie combo. We are seeing a pediatric dentist tomorrow. Cross your fingers! If that doesn't work I think I will throw in the towel. He's gotten tons of pumped breast milk up until now, that must count for something.

    Also I totally have toy whipes but I only use them if he drops his paci or Sophie on the ground somewhere nasty, like the doctors office.

    DD still uses a slow flow infant sized bottle for her milk when I'm not around. I don't want to buy new bottles as we are trying to get her on a sippy or straw but so far it's been a fail.  Sigh.

    Haha! I love this post! Heck no we don't wash toys....and sometime we use the same pacifiers for a week. :) I have even dropped the bottles on the floor and just wiped off the top (we have 2 dogs ;))

    I never change B's diaper at night unless it's poopy! I put her in a night time diaper and she doesn't eat as much during the day so I figure she doesn't pee as much. Shes totally happy when she wakes up. If she gets some bum redness a little diaper cream clears it right up.

    I only wash stuffed animals because I have a washing bag to put them in. Saw it on Shark Tank (which we are addicted to) and decided to give it a try - it works. Its called "Teddy Needs a Bath." So her stuffies go in the laundry with her clothes in that bag. But that is all that gets washed. Everything else....well....A loves to drop things and I just pick them up and give them right back to her.
