Does your lo have

A certain blanket/ toy etc that (s)he loves? Finns favorites so far are an elephant security blanket and a stuffed cow rattle. There names are Trunky McTrunkerson and Mr Moo. Hoping having them will help him feel comfortable at daycare. Which he will be going to March 24 :(

Re: Does your lo have

  • Not yet, I switch them out every other day to wash them. I'm hoping she has a cozy (what DH And I call them)cause I have a favorite blanket I take while traveling.

  • The only thing my LO shows affinity for are the monkeys on her bouncer...she is obsessed. She hasn't started grasping purposefully at her toys yet though. We have an Ohio State lovey we bought her so I hope she loves that...

  • Not yet. I show her lots of different things throughout the week.
  • My LO loves his fisher price sea horse! He also loves burp clothes!!!!
  • He has a certain blanket that he has a tough time falling asleep without, he's had it since night one at the hospital and when it's in the wash he has a tough time. The texture is different so that's the difference. He also loves his dog blanket rattle thing and his elephant that vibrates. So those go everywhere with us!
  • I'd have to say my boobs too lol. Even if she's not nursing she likes to snuggle up against them.

  • Every night he sleeps with his giraffe Wubbanub who we've named Mr. Wub. That's all for now.

  • Nothing really yet. He does seem to sleep extra well under a Little Giraffe blanket that was a gift. It is super soft, but OMG at spending $90 on a baby blanket! I think he likes it because it has some weight to it and he feels secure.

  • hercules03 this LO is our 3rd but she is my first to breastfeed at all and I also have a baby who I consider OVERLY loves my boobs. When she is nursing she will grab them on both sides (like a baby holding a bottle) but she kneads at them the WHOLE time. Then she will often take the farthest out hand and rub it on the side of my breast like as if your stroking a cat or dog! I swear yesterday when I pulled one out of my bra for her she cracked a smile, DH said it was coincidence I think not LOL.

She has two fuzzy blankets that we use pretty regularly and I am assuming 1 at least she will form an attachment too. Both of my older kids have their baby blanket from childhood still. I would say they stopped "needing" them to sleep around age 4. She has a glowworm that at night she seems pretty happy with while its on to sing/light up. She also has a zebra "baby" we call it. Its one with the head of a zebra and the little blanket attached and then the underside of the blanket is pink silk. I really hope she takes to that because its small and she can tote it around later in life easily, My first DD and my DS both got attached to full sized stuffed animals.......Not fun to cart thru Target or wherever. She LOVES the hanging flowers on her PNP she hasn't tried to bat at them yet but she smiles at them all the time. I have tried to show her some rattles and other toys a few times and she could really care less and has no interest in gripping anything but that zebra.

Does it really help to keep his paci in?

For us it does help! It soothes him.

  • He's not interested in toys but will hold onto anything I use as a byrpcloth. He likes to smile and coo at curious George dolls/pictures.

  • My bras. LO feels the need to hang onto them in the middle of my cleavage the whole time he's nursing. Hopefully he'll become more attached to an appropriate item, otherwise outings are going to be pretty embarrassing!
  • Nope, no favorites yet. I have my favorites though. Best blanket, best toy, best outfit...
