Anterior Cervix??

So EDD is Wednesday. Just left the dr for my weekly, not any more dilated then I was last week at a 2/70%, but the doctor was very surprised at how anterior my cervix was. She told me to tell the L&d nurses my cervix was anterior. When I asked her what that meant??? She said it means the baby and the birth canal are lined up and ready to go, and that it is hard to find my cervix being so high and to the front.
I have never ever heard this before. Anyone else??

    Just means that your body is continuing the initial steps towards active labor - one of which is the cervix moving into an anterior position.  Nothing really exciting lol.

    Thank you, she didn't make it sound exciting, I just had never heard it put that way. I feel like a know it all and it was def something I didn't know! I pictured the cervix opening, not moving. Lol
