question about swollen hands and numbness

Hi ladies. I am 34 weeks and the swollen feet, ankles and calfs started this weekend. Im wasnt worried since i know thats a common and natural thing, but This morning I woke up and my hands were swollen and numb. The numbness when away after a couple mins, but I was worried and called my dr and he's having me come in in about an hour. Have any of you ladies experienced this? Is this common?

    This has happened to me before. I agree with increasing water intake. Also try to keep your salt intake down... Salt turns me into the Michelin Man.
    My hands are currently so swollen that my normally size 4.5 wedding rings have been switched out for a size 7 ring from target.. And it fits perfectly, haha!
    My doctor just keeps telling me to drink more and salt less, but she's not too worried about it.

    Carpal Tunnel Syndrome is a common symptom of pregnancy too... that may be what is causing the numbess???

    My hands have been asleep for the better part of three weeks. Doc says it's just the swelling and I'm barely swollen at all.
