Riley recently started yelling "mine" and holding things to her chest. For example while brushing her teeth this morning, she decided she wasn't done so she yelled "MIIIIIIINE" and rocked back and forth with a death grip on the toothbrush. Anyone else have a kid saying this word? If so, how are you reacting?
Re: Toddlers saying "mine"?
Even a minor event in the life of a child is an event of that child's world and thus a world event.
You don't say no??? What do you say then? Sorry genuinely curious.
For things like the stove, instead of saying no if she tries to touch it we tell her it is hot. Sometimes I wonder if she will confuse the words and think a stove is called hot but it works for right now.
