High-Risk Pregnancy

Have heparin to donate *signature warning*

I hope it is ok to post this here. I was on Lovenox and then heparin for my two successful pregnancies and have some heparin left I was hoping to donate. I recently donated Lovenox through OOP meds here on the bump but she hasn't found a match for the heparin yet. I have 32 vials of 5,000 units of heparin that expire in October 2014 so I'm hoping someone can use them before they expire because I don't want to throw them away. I also have 3 unopened bags with 20 insulin syringes each. This open to whoever responds first that will be able to use them. Thanks!

Re: Have heparin to donate *signature warning*

  • Hi there! That is so nice of you to donate your medication. I was recently diagnosed with a DVT in my groin so I have been taking lovenox which has cost me $110 per week! I will be switched to heparin when I am in my 36th week. I would love to take the meds off your hands if that is still okay. Did you have a DVT too? I'd love to talk with you about your experience on the blood thinners as I am completely new to this and have so many questions. Thank you!

  • Sorry, just saw this. Hi, I'm sorry to hear about your DVT! They are def still available. I have 3 clotting issues that contributed my 3 losses. Hopefully I can answer any questions you have! I'll pm you my email!
