Weird news story

This woman had to submit a DNA test to prove her children were her own (for welfare) and was shocked when the results were negative. She had given birth to both of her children. Turns out she was a twin in utero, but her fertilized egg fused with her twin's. So her children had her twin's DNA, not hers, even though she doesn't actually have a twin. Isn't that the strangest thing??

My mother in law actually was the case that helped this woman. She is in the discovery channel show "I am my own twin". She only found out when she needed a kidney and they told her that her two sons did not have her DNA. Crazy, right??
