Good tips and hacks

Ok have you ever been given a tip that you can't believe you didn't think of yourself? Well it's simple really and a duh moment but my dad told me to put my reusable shopping bags in the cart and then fill them then take them out when I go to check out. Why didn't I think of this! Make grocery shopping while baby wearing so much easier ( I had complained about bending over to get stuff out of the cart with LO in a front carry)

Anyway I was wondering what practical tips you guys have received or would like to give to make our lives just a little bit simpler.

  • Take a drink of pineapple juice after a tequila shot. Takes the burn out immediately.

The neck opening on a onesie is big enough to go down over lo's shoulders so when it's covered in poop it doesn't need to go up and over their face.

Where have you been with this golden nugget?!??!!! I've been doing it the "fun" way for months and months and months! Although I roll it first then take it off so not so bad most of the time. Took me a few times to figure that one out.

Sorry!! I think I mentioned it on here in a similar thread in the early days, but maybe I didn't.

@cricket81 I remember you giving that tip! I've used it a couple times with blowouts.

My tip is... Ever since LO was a newborn, if I do small continuous squats while holding him it's like a reset button. ALWAYS stops his crying and calms him down. I've done squats in some strange places when it was necessary.
  • My faves:
Baby powder to get sand off.
Cupcake liners under a popsicle to keep the drips up.
Pancake mix in an old ketchup bottle for squirting.
    Hull strawberries with a straw.
Toothpaste to polish silver and jewelry.

And Um, making all your P-Touch labels for school to be your last name and not your kids' first names. It took me um, 6 months to realize it was better to just write "Feldman" than have to label some containers Arlo and some Graham. Not to mention hand me down boots, coats, etc. I'm such a dummy! Take note those who plan on having more kids!

Definitely the baby powder trick and damn, I totally forgot about the cupcake liner.  That would have come in handy the other day.
