I am registered for a Mommaroo swing, but lately had heard some negative things about infants not liking it-do you have one? Thoughts? Other brands that have worked well for you or that you would recommend?
Hated it. Passionately. No support, useless functions that you pay shitloads of money for. Babies don't need an iPod jack or eleven billion motions. It's small that's the only positive...oh and it's snazzy for adults to look at. @kirotea hahaha be nice.
I work for a big box baby store and unfortunately the product is crap. We get them returned all the time bc of defects and infants don't like them. The price point is ridiculous for a product that doesn't have all the links worked out. You're better off going for a different brand, anything really.
I just got one as a surprise yesterday! I am super excited to use it, and really hope our son likes it. And yes, it is pretty for adults to look at... doesn't take up the whole room!
I was given one from a baby that didn't like it. My son liked it and we will see about this baby. I wouldn't buy one.. It just doesn't look like comfy.
The momaroo isn't a swing, the rockaroo is. And the rockaroo was just released in January, so I don't think any March mommies have experience with it yet..

Mommaroo IS a swing (well, a seat-swing?)
To clarify, they may both be referred to as swings/so others- but I was told by the sales folks at BuyBuyBaby (and the internet) that the mamaroo is made to bounce up and down and sway from side to side (more like a hi-tech bouncer) as opposed to the rockaroo which was developed to be the 4moms version of an actual baby swing to mimic that particular range of motions.
Just thought some might want to look into the other product as the rockaroo is cheaper and the product actually swings back and forth since the original question seemed to ask about swing options. Someone purchased the rockaroo for me as a gift and I obviously have no experience with it, but since it just came out I'm not sure if anyone does at this point unless they got them to review online or something...
