Summer Infant video monitors

For those with a Summer Infant video monitor, which one do you have? What do you like/not like about it? I still want one, but have to convince DH. He doesn't want something that is too bright for the room or video stays on all the time. What about being able to have the audio w/o video, but be able to get to the video quickly to check it? I also like to be able to plug it in and not worry about batteries.

    I think we have this one: https://www.summerinfant.com/slimsecure2 There is a button on the top that you press to turn the monitor on or off, however the sound stays on.

    BFP #2 04/25/12 EDD 01/04/13(?) confirmed ectopic 05/16/12 6 wks 5 days 2 doses of MTX-Lost left tube on 05/25/12 Back to TTC, earlier than originally expected.
    BFP #3 01/05/13 EDD 09/17/13 u/s 1/24/13-great appt, measuring 2 days ahead, NT scan 3/11/13-great scan measuring 4 days ahead, A/S 4/29/13-another great scan can't wait to meet my baby BOY!!!!!

    I looked at the Baby Touch Boost and the Slim & Secure. I like all the features of the Baby Touch Boost, but would be fine with the Slim & Secure, as well. I'll have to see what DH says. The problem there is that he will go through all the reviews first and not want to get one at all if they have bad ones. I've read through a lot of them, too, and they are so varied that it seems like you just have to get one and see if it works for you.

    DH is the same way about reviews, my in laws bought it without asking us which one we wanted (normal for them) but it's actually worked great. The battery doesn't last all night, so we just plug it in when we go to sleep.

    I've got baby touch 2 & I love it. Lo's room is upstairs so I check it often & turn it up loud so that I'm sure to hear her. You can also talk through it & I've used that a few times to suggest different soothing methods to DH. It does stay lit up in our room but I'm just used to it now.

    I have this. You can shut off the video by pressing the middle button whether it is or isn't on the charger. The audio still works and when u need to see the screen, just press the middle button again.
